.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20finishing%20off%20a%20Maccy%20D's%20drink%20on%20the%20way%20to%20my%20aunt's%20house%20with%20my%20family.%20When%20we%20arrived,%20she%20made%20us%20all%20a%20cup%20of%20tea.%20I%20drank%20the%20tea,%20went%20to%20the%20toilet%20and%20promptly%20threw%20up%20-%20I%20was%20young%20so%20it's%20possible%20that's%20it%20not%20quite%20what%20happened,%20but%20because%20that's%20my%20memory%20of%20the%20story,%20I%20have%20avoided%20mixing%20hot%20and%20cold%20drinks%20ever%20since,%20for%20fear%20of%20it%20upsetting%20my%20stomach!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20eat%20fruit%20after%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20still%20believe%20there%20is%20some%20truth%20in%20this%20-%20fruit%20doesn't%20take%20as%20long%20to%20digest%20so%20if%20you%20eat%20it%20straight%20after%20a%20big%20meal,%20it%20just%20'sits'%20on%20top%20of%20it%20and%20messes%20up%20the%20digestion%20process.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECutting%20vegetables%20really%20small%20before%20cooking%20them%20gets%20rid%20of%20their%20nutrients.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20thinking%20behind%20this%20is%20probably%20that%20because%20there%20is%20less%20mass%20with%20vegetables%20that%20are%20cut%20into%20tiny%20bits,%20their%20nutrients%20burn%20off%20quicker%20when%20you%20cook%20them.%20I%20still%20reckon%20this%20is%20true.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFat%20free%20or%20low%20fat%20means%20healthy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20shameful%20but%20I've%20only%20realised%20over%20the%20last%20few%20months%20that%20this%20really%20isn't%20true.%20Because%20fat%20free%20foods%20often%20contain%20alot%20of%20sugar.%20And%20that%20really%20isn't%20healthy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrown%20sugar%20is%20better%20than%20white%20sugar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGood%20brown%20pasta,%20bad%20white%20pasta.%20Good%20brown%20rice,%20bad%20white%20rice.%20But%20brown%20sugar%20is%20essentially%20'coloured'%20white%20sugar%20(molasses%20are%20added%20to%20make%20it%20brown)%20and%20although%20has%20some%20useful%20minerals,%20you'd%20probably%20need%20to%20eat%20a%20ton%20of%20it%20for%20it%20to%20do%20you%20any%20good.%20But%20the%20mentality%20of%20'brown=good'%20and%20'white=bad'%20is%20hard%20to%20shake%20off.%20(And%20brown%20rice%20is%20difficult%20to%20make!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFood%20with%20less%20than%205g%20of%20fat%20and%20less%20than%2010g%20of%20sugar%20per%20100g%20=%20a%20healthier%20choice.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20what%20is%20ingrained%20in%20my%20mind%20following%20random%20stuff%20I've%20read%20about%20fat%20and%20sugar%20content%20in%20the%20past%20but%20can't%20quite%20remember.%20So%20I%20know%20I'm%20vaguely%20in%20the%20right%20area,%20but%20should%20probably%20in%20fact%20be%20looking%20for%20lower%20figures%20than%20this.%20And%20I%20always%20forget%20that%20I%20need%20to%20consider%20the%20actual%20portion%20size%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAre%20there%20any%20random%20myths%20you%20have%20about%20food%20that%20you%20know%20you%20probably%20shouldn't%20believe?%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
