,%20it%20was%20not%20OK!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPersonally%20I%20think%20it%20could%20have%20used%20a%20little%20fat%20in%20the%20recipe.%20%20%20And%20I%20tried%20it%20again,%20adding%20a%20little%20fat,%20and%20it%20turned%20out%20much%20better.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20the%20basic%20premise%20was%20good.%20%20Nice%20hot%20biscuits%20with%20some%20hot%20ham%20and%20cheese,%20and%20served%20warm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20they%20look%20good?%20%20Well,%20they%20could%20have%20tasted%20a%20little%20better.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20some%20Greek%20Yoghurt%20in%20the%20fridge,%20and%20thought%20it%20might%20make%20a%20good%20biscuit,%20so%20I%20googled%20it,%20found%20a%20bunch%20of%20recipes%20for%20a%20three%20ingredient%20biscuit,%20yoghurt,%20self%20rising%20flour%20and%20a%20little%20salt.%20%20%20And%20since%20so%20many%20people%20had%20tried%20it,%20I%20thought%20it%20was%20worth%20a%20try.%20%20%20Well,%20it%20was,%20kinda,%20but%20the%20lack%20of%20fat%20in%20it,%20made%20it%20very%20dry%20and%20I%20like%20layers%20in%20my%20biscuits.%20%20%20I%20also%20had%20to%20add%20some%20milk,%20to%20which%20I%20added%20a%20little%20buttermilk%20powder%20for%20flavour.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20the%20recipe%20I%20followed...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%201/2%20cups%20Greek%20Yoghurt%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3%20cups%20self%20rising%20flour%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1/2%20tsp.%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20yoghurt%20into%20flour%20and%20mix%20until%20it%20just%20comes%20together.%20%20Pat%20into%20a%20disk%20and%20cut%20out%20rounds.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell,%20I%20did%20that.%20%20Actually%20I%20didn't%20cut%20rounds%20out,%20I%20just%20cut%20it%20into%20rough%20squares.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20I%20baked%20them,%20actually%20I%20brushed%20the%20tops%20with%20a%20little%20butter%20before%20baking%20them%20in%20a%20450%20deg.%20oven%20for%2015%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20were%20dry.%20%20%20I%20think%20they%20would%20have%20been%20much%20better%20slathered%20in%20butter%20and%20jam.%20%20And%20I%20think%20they%20baked%20too%20long%20at%20too%20low%20a%20temperature.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere's%20my%20revised%20recipe.%20%20And%20these%20were%20good.%20%20Preheat%20the%20oven%20to%20500%20deg.%20and%20get%20a%20baking%20sheet%20ready.%20%20%20I%20like%20to%20bake%20on%20parchment%20paper,%20but%20you%20can%20just%20grease%20the%20baking%20sheet%20if%20you%20like.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20cups%20self%20rising%20flour,%20if%20you%20can%20find%20White%20Lily,%20use%20that%20brand.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1/4%20cup%20butter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20the%20yoghurt%20and%20milk%20together,%20set%20aside.%20%20Place%20the%20flour%20and%20butter%20into%20a%20bowl.%20%20Cut%20the%20butter%20into%20the%20flour%20or%20rub%20the%20butter%20into%20the%20flour%20until%20it%20resembles%20small%20peas.%20%20Add%20the%20yoghurt%20and%20mix%20in%20until%20it%20just%20comes%20together%20in%20a%20ball.%20%20%20Turn%20out%20onto%20a%20floured%20surface%20and%20shape%20it%20into%20a%20circle%20or%20square%20using%20just%20the%20barest%20pressure%20you%20can.%20%20Any%20time%20you%20overwork%20this%20dough,%20it%20will%20get%20tough.%20%20Trust%20me%20on%20this,%20I%20know%20whereof%20I%20speak.%20%20%20You%20want%20it%20to%20be%20about%203/4-1%20inch%20thick.%20%20%20%20Cut%20out%20rounds%20or%20use%20a%20knife%20to%20cut%20into%20squares,%20but%20don't%20twist%20the%20cutter.%20%20Any%20twisting%20motion%20will%20toughen%20it%20as%20well,%20and%20they%20won't%20rise%20real%20well%20either,%20(get%20the%20feeling%20biscuits%20are%20finicky?).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20cut%20out%20biscuits%20on%20the%20parchment%20lined%20baking%20sheet%20and%20bake%20for%20about%2010%20minutes%20in%20the%20500%20deg.%20oven.%20%20%20If%20you%20put%20them%20close%20together%20they%20will%20have%20soft%20edges,%20or%20you%20can%20space%20them%20out%20about%20an%20inch%20apart%20for%20crispy%20edges.%20%20%20I%20like%20crispy%20myself.%20%20%20After%20baking,%20brush%20with%20some%20melted%20butter%20and%20eat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20did%20a%20reprise%20of%20my%20Super%20Bowl%20idea%20and%20placed%20a%20nice%20chunk%20of%20ham%20in%20the%20middle%20with%20some%20cheese%20and%20a%20touch%20of%20mustard.%20%20It%20was%20a%20very%20good%20breakfast,%20if%20I%20do%20say%20so.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDoes%20that%20not%20look%20good?%20%20I%20thought%20so...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20think%20one%20of%20the%20reasons%20the%20first%20batch%20of%20biscuits%20were%20so%20dry%20was%20because%20I%20was%20using%20non%20fat%20yoghurt.%20%20It's%20not%20easy%20finding%20full%20fat%20yoghurt,%20but%20if%20you%20find%20it,%20use%20some.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20meantime,%20I%20made%20more%20biscuits%20than%20I%20can%20eat%20at%20one%20sitting%20so%20I%20put%20the%20rest%20into%20a%20plastic%20bag%20and%20into%20the%20freezer.%20%20%20Now%20I%20can%20have%20fresh%20from%20the%20freezer%20biscuits%20the%20next%20time%20I'm%20in%20the%20mood%20for%20a%20biscuit.%20%20%20%20%20Not%20a%20bad%20thing%20to%20have%20on%20hand%20at%20all.%20%20*giggle*%3C/p%3E){kind=l
