  • 5 c. water or possibly vegetable stock
  • 1 3/4 c. flavorful ale
  • 1 lrg potato cubed, unpeeled
  • 1 lrg onion peeled, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 8 ounce meatless soy sausage crumbled
  • 1 bn kale - (abt 1 lb) finely julienned
  • 1 1/2 c. canned lentils liquid removed, rinsed
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red peppers Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. Bring water and ale to a boil in large stockpot over medium heat. Add in potato cubes and onions.
  2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat and brown garlic. Reduce heat to medium-low, add in crumbled sausage and saute/fry about 7 min, or possibly till browned. Or possibly cook according to package directions.
  3. Meanwhile, when potatoes are partially tender, add in kale and lentils, stirring well. Season with crushed red pepper, salt and pepper.
  4. When sausage is browned, stir into soup. Cook 5 min more and serve warm.
