  1. Rinse lentils and place in a pan with water. Boil for 20 min on medium fire. Saute/fry minced onions in oil. Add in onions and residue, seasonings and rice to the lentils. Cover and cook for 20 min. Stir occasionally. May be eaten warm or possibly cool. It thickens as it cools. ENJOY!
  2. I prefer this dish warm with plain yogurt on top. It's a healthy, meatless dish.
