.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20been%20living%20in%20Germany%20for%20roughly%207%20years%20now%20and%20can%20still%20count%20on%20the%20tip%20of%20my%20fingers%20the%20times%20that%20transports%20have%20gone%20on%20strike,%20actually%20I%20think%20they%20are%20quite%20under%205%20in%20total%20and%20yesterday%20was%20one%20of%20these.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENormally%20I%20prefer%20to%20walk%20anywhere%20I%20have%20to%20go%20(also%20because%20bus%20fares%20are%20rather%20high%20around%20here)%20but%20yesterday%20wasn't%20a%20day%20like%20any%20other;%20yesterday%20I%20had%20to%20host%20my%20second%20cooking%20class.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20location%20isn't%20that%20far%20away%20from%20where%20I%20live%20but%20when%20you%20need%20to%20transport%20a%20suitcase%20and%20a%20bag%20full%20of%20groceries%20for%2015%20people%20across%20the%20city%20(and%20a%20river)%20all%20distances%20seem%20kinda%20inflated.%20Luckily%20enough%20it%20wasn't%20raining,%20yet,%20so%20in%20almost%2030%20minutes%20I%20was%20there.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlowly%20the%20students%20started%20arriving;%20many%20were%20delayed%20by%20the%20traffic%20jam%20ensued%20from%20the%20aforementioned%20strike%20and%20now%20pouring%20rain.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20the%20customary%20intro%20about%20the%20dishes%20we%20were%20going%20to%20cook%20and%20enjoy,%20the%20groups%20took%20possession%20of%20their%20cooking%20stations%20and%20started%20chopping%20until%20they%20needed%20the%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20flashback%20of%202%20salt%20boxes%20on%20the%20floor%20beside%20an%20armchair%20flashed%20in%20my%20mind,%20and%20I%20smacked%20my%20forehead:%20I%20had%20forgotten%20the%20salt%20at%20home!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20let's%20rush%20back%20out%20hunting%20for%20a%20grocery%20store%20and%20some%20white%20crystals.%20Even%20though%20I%20am%20not%20very%20familiar%20with%20that%20part%20of%20the%20city,%20I%20remembered%20where%20some%20major%20supermarkets%20were%20located%20and%20thankfully%20they%20were%20quite%20close-by.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20my%20umbrella%20in%20hand%20and%20a%20speedy%20pace,%20I%20managed%20to%20get%20the%20salt%20before%20the%20pots%20of%20water%20were%20even%20boiling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20evening%20proceeded%20rather%20smoothly%20with%20me%20going%20up%20and%20down%20the%20room%20and%20in%20between%20the%20students%20trying%20to%20make%20the%20experience%20as%20smooth%20and%20rewarding%20as%20possible.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20lack%20of%20frying%20pans%20though%20caused%20us%20to%20have%20a%20shorter%20time%20than%20usual%20to%20enjoy%20the%20food%20before%20cleaning%20the%20whole%20kitchen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESometimes%203%20hours%20are%20not%20enough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20this%20kind%20of%20days,%20when%20you%20reach%20home%20exhausted%20and%20wet,%20a%20simple%20and%20satisfying%20meal%20is%20what%20can%20make%20the%20difference%20for%20your%20energy%20balance.%20This%20extra%20simple%20pasta%20dish%20I%20propose%20you%20today,%20could%20not%20be%20more%20appropriate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20let%20the%20%22Shake%20'n%20Bake%22%20shortness%20of%20the%20recipe%20deceive%20you,%20this%20pasta%20is%20full%20of%20southern%20Italian%20comfort%20and%20love%20from%20mother%20Nature.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPasta%20with%20fried%20Zucchini%20and%20Fresh%20oregano%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%20(serve%205):%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFry%20the%20zucchini%20slices%20in%20a%20pan%20with%20hot%20vegetable%20oil.%20When%20they%20will%20be%20nice%20and%20golden%20brown%20transfer%20the%20zucchini%20on%20some%20paper%20towel.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20small%20skillet%20heat%20up%20some%20olive%20oil%20with%201%20tablespoon%20of%20water,%20the%20garlic%20and%20the%20fresh%20oregano%20leaves.%20Let%20all%20the%20ingredients%20infuse%20gently%20until%20almost%20all%20the%20water%20will%20be%20evaporated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESet%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20the%20pasta%20until%20al-dente%20in%20a%20pot%20of%20salted%20boiling%20water.%20When%20ready,%20drain%20the%20penne%20and%20season%20them%20with%20the%20zucchini%20slices,%20the%20aromatic%20oil%20dressing%20and%20a%20sprinkle%20of%20black%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToss%20and%20add%20more%20olive%20oil%20if%20needed.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
