%20had%20tinned%20pumpkin%20on%20special%20a%20month%20or%20so%20back.%20%20I%20was%20so%20excited.%20%20It%20can%20sometimes%20be%20a%20really%20difficult%20ingredient%20to%20find%20on%20the%20cheap%20over%20here%20in%20the%20UK.%20%20Normally%20you%20pay%20over%20the%20odds%20for%20it,%20if%20you%20can%20find%20it.%20%20(I%20have%20had%20success%20in%20Waitrose%20and%20Sainsbury's%20and%20of%20course%20there%20is%20Skyco%20as%20well.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20anyways,%20they%20had%20it%20in%20Aldi%20for%20a%20really%20reasonable%20price%20and%20I%20loaded%20up%20on%20it!%20%20I%20think%20I%20bought%2024%20tins,%20much%20to%20Todd's%20embarassment%20and%20chagrin!%20%20But%20then,%20I%20am%20a%20North%20American%20and%20I%20love%20pumpkin!%20%20I%20think%20I%20am%20converting%20him%20to%20the%20idea%20as%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEspecially%20when%20I%20make%20him%20such%20deliciousness%20as%20these%20fabulous%20Pumpkin%20Fritters.%20%20They%20are%20delightful%20little%20light%20spicy%20puffs%20of%20pumpkin!%20%20And%20that%20sauce%20.%20.%20.%20oh%20baby.%20%20It%20is%20fabulous!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOf%20course%20if%20you%20can't%20find%20the%20tinned%20pumpkin%20puree,%20you%20can%20make%20your%20own.%20%20There%20is%20a%20great%20recipe%20for%20a%20roasted%20one%20here.%20%20And%20of%20course%20there%20is%20another%20good%20version%20on%20the%20BBC%20food%20site.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESimple%20to%20make,%20just%20stir%20all%20the%20ingredients%20together%20and%20drop%20them%20into%20hot%20fat,%20cooking%20them%20until%20they%20are%20puffed%20and%20golden%20brown.%20%20Just%20make%20sure%20you%20fat%20isn't%20too%20hot%20as%20you%20don't%20want%20the%20outsides%20to%20cook%20too%20fast,%20or%20your%20insides%20will%20be%20raw,%20and%20you%20don't%20want%20that!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20sauce%20is%20gorgeous.%20%20%20Rich%20and%20caramel%20flavoured%20with%20just%20the%20hint%20of%20vanilla.%20%20So%20delicious%20together.%20%20And%20you%20can%20refrigerate%20any%20leftover%20sauce%20for%20on%20ice%20cream%20or%20pancakes%20even.%20%20%20Scrummo!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%20about%2020%20fritters%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
