%20that%20I%20would%20complete%20a%20cleanse.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAre%20you%20making%20a%20face?%20%20Because%20all%20of%20my%20family%20members%20have%20made%20a%20face%20when%20I%20announced%20this.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20ok.%20%20I%20promise%20it%20won't%20be%20weird%20and%20in%20the%20end%20I%20think%20I%20will%20have%20learned%20a%20lot.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20read%20along%20while%20Laura%20has%20gone%20through%20two%20cleanses%20and%20was%20struck%20by%20her%20ability%20to%20stick%20to%20it%20and%20to%20find%20plenty%20of%20enjoyable%20things%20to%20eat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20for%20Melinda%20she%20completed%20the%20same%2021%20day%20program%20and%20blogged%20about%20it,%20starting%20with%20day%201%20here.%20%20I%20read%20all%20of%20her%20posts%20and%20have%20taken%20her%20advice%20in%20prepping%20for%20my%20own%20journey.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20program%20I%20am%20following%20is%20from%20Clean%20by%20Dr.%20Alejandro%20Junger%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20book%20gives%20you%20Dr.%20Junger's%20background%20(spoiler%20alert...he%20is%20a%20cardiologist)%20and%20his%20own%20journey%20to%20a%20cleaner%20lifestyle.%20%20There%20are%20stories%20about%20some%20of%20the%20people%20he%20has%20helped,%20as%20well%20as%20a%20wealth%20of%20information%20as%20to%20why%20cleaning%20your%20internal%20system%20can%20affect%20everything%20about%20you%20(in%20a%20positive%20way).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWednesday%20February%2022nd%20was%20Day%201%20of%20what%20is%20termed%20the%20%22Elimination%20Diet.%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20prep%20for%20it%20I%20had%20a%20body%20wrap%20on%20Tuesday%20to%20help%20speed%20my%20bodies%20elimination%20of%20toxins%20and%20I%20was%20sure%20to%20drink%20plenty%20of%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20purpose%20of%20this%20diet%20phase%20is%20to%20pull%20yourself%20off%20of%20caffeine,%20sugar,%20and%20wheat%20(main%20allergy%20causing%20ingredients).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20what%20did%20I%20eat?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20breakfast%20I%20had%20a%20delicious%20Cinnamon%20Roll%20Smoothie...seriously%20it%20was%20like%20drinking%20a%20roll.%20%20I%20promise%20it%20is%20WAY%20more%20appetizing%20than%20it%20looks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELunch%20was%20eaten%20at%20my%20favorite%20grocer,%20Earth%20Fare,%20where%20I%20had%20a%20plate%20of%20greens%20(spring%20mix,%20kale,%20spinach,%20broccoli,%20and%20sprouts)%20with%20a%20side%20of%20spinach%20hummus%20as%20well%20as%20regular%20hummus%20and%20a%20few%20chunks%20of%20pineapple.%20%20To%20drink,%20a%20new%20love%20of%20mine,%20kombucha%20(cherry%20flavor).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDinner%20was%20a%20serving%20of%20brown%20rice%20spaghetti%20topped%20with%20artichokes,%20olive%20oil,%20and%20some%20nutritional%20yeast%20(no%20picture,%20but%20it%20was%20really%20all%20that%20pretty).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20through%20out%20the%20day%20I%20drank%20a%20bunch%20of%20water%20and%20probably%20had%20to%20pee%20every%20hour,%20which%20is%20recommended%20by%20Dr.%20Junger.%20%20I%20got%20a%20little%20tired%20of%20getting%20up%20so%20much...but%20it%20is%20all%20for%20a%20good%20cause.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20for%20any%20potential%20negative%20side%20effects...none.%20%20I%20wasn't%20hungry%20and%20I%20didn't%20get%20any%20headaches.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20felt%20really%20good%20and%20am%20excited%20to%20start%20day%202%20as%20I%20have%20already%20dropped%201%20lbs%20(155%20yesterday%20morning%20to%20154%20this%20morning).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20isn't%20about%20weight%20loss,%20although%20I%20need%20to%20drop%20some%20weight,%20but%20I%20am%20hoping%20to%20eliminate%20many%20years%20worth%20of%20toxic%20build%20up%20in%20my%20system%20and%20become%20a%20more%20energetic%20and%20youthful%2034%20year%20old%20mom%20and%20wife.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20intend%20to%20blog%20about%20my%20cleanse%20partly%20to%20keep%20myself%20accountable%20and%20to%20share%20the%20experience,%20but%20I%20will%20also%20have%20recipes%20and%20food%20(that%20I%20am%20not%20eating%20but%20the%20family%20is)%20so%20that%20I%20can%20continue%20to%20write%20about%20what%20I%20love...FOOD.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hope%20you%20all%20are%20having%20a%20wonderful%20day%20and%20just%20want%20to%20know%20have%20you%20ever%20completed%20a%20cleanse?%20%20If%20so%20do%20you%20have%20any%20advice?%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
