.%20*Boom*%20(that's%20me,%20dropping%20the%20mike%20on%20the%20stage%20and%20walking%20away)Beautiful%20eggs%20that%20I%20couldn't%20bear%20to%20crack.%20OK,%20I%20eventually%20gave%20in%20-%20Photo%20by%20Wasabi%20PrimeI'd%20have%20opened%20this%20post%20with%20a%20photo%20of%20the%20aforementioned%20BEA%20Sandwich,%20but%20seriously,%20these%20eggs%20are%20beautiful,%20right??%20I%20didn't%20dye%20these,%20Mr.%20Wasabi/The%20Mister/Brock%20was%20the%20egg%20artiste%20behind%20these,%20and%20he%20did%20a%20gorgeous%20job.%20He%20asked%20for%20some%20egg%20dye%20over%20Easter%20weekend,%20I%20guess%20he%20had%20the%20bee%20in%20his%20bonnet%20to%20color%20eggs.%20I%20was%20lamenting%20how%20I%20couldn't%20find%20the%20plain%20old%20PAAS%20dye%20kits%20--%20everything%20was%20glitter/sticker/tie-dye/marble%20something-or-other.%20Nothing%20plain!!%20I%20found%20the%20simplest%20kit%20--%20%22tie%20dye,%22%20which%20looked%20absolutely%20the%20same%20as%20%22marbled,%22%20and%20cost%20the%20same.%20I%20grumbled%20on%20the%20way%20home%20like%20an%20old%20lady%20screaming%20at%20kids%20to%20git%20off%20mah%20lawn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20the%20finished%20product%20is%20beautiful,%20no?%20So%20beautiful%20that%20it%20took%20me%20a%20while%20to%20finally%20crack%20into%20these%20lovelies%20and%20use%20them%20for%20their%20intended%20purpose%20--%20shoving%20into%20our%20hungry%20faces.%20Brock%20was%20the%20one%20that%20suggested%20egg%20salad%20sandwiches,%20so%20along%20with%20the%20egg%20dye,%20I%20picked%20up%20a%20jar%20of%20relish%20and%20a%20bottle%20of%20yellow%20mustard.%20No%20fancy%20%22Do%20you%20have%20any%20Grey%20Poupon%22%20for%20this%20egg%20salad%20--%20we're%20going%20OG,%20Original%20Gangstah%20on%20these%20sammiches.%20P.S.%20-%20I%20already%20had%20mayo%20in%20the%20fridge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHot%20buns,%20yo%20-%20Photo%20by%20Wasabi%20PrimeI%20did,%20however,%20put%20some%20flourishes%20on%20the%20egg%20salad%20sandwich-making:%20I%20baked%20challah%20buns,%20which%20I%20love%20for%20sandwiches.%20They're%20soft,%20fluffy,%20flavorful%20bread%20that%20soak%20up%20the%20somewhat%20messy%20egg%20salad%20filling.%20No,%20you%20don't%20have%20to%20make%20your%20own%20buns,%20I%20just%20felt%20it%20was%20fitting%20for%20the%20beautiful%20eggs.%20Check%20out%20my%20previous%20post%20on%20challah-making,%20if%20you%20wish%20to%20do%20the%20same.%20Another%20flourish%20was%20mixing%20finely%20minced%20red%20onion%20into%20the%20egg/mustard/relish/mayo%20mixture,%20for%20added%20crunch%20and%20some%20onion-heat,%20which%20I%20like.%20I%20mashed%20some%20avocado%20into%20the%20egg%20salad%20as%20well,%20mostly%20to%20help%20firm%20it%20up%20a%20bit%20more%20before%20assembling%20the%20sandwiches;%20it%20adds%20nice%20richness%20but%20I%20recommend%20doing%20this%20in%20a%20separate,%20smaller%20bowl.%20Just%20mix%20the%20avocado%20with%20whatever%20egg%20salad%20you're%20going%20to%20use%20for%20the%20sandwiches%20you're%20making,%20so%20that%20it's%20freshly%20combined%20and%20keeps%20the%20avocado%20from%20discoloring.Egg%20Salad%20Sandwich,%20meet%20your%20new%20soulmate,%20Fix%20Hot%20Sauce%20-%20Photos%20by%20Wasabi%20PrimeThe%20major%20flavor%20kick%20was%20a%20surprise%20guest%20star%20--%20a%20hefty%20squeeze%20of%20my%20new%20condiment%20obsession:%20Fix%20Hot%20Sauce.%20They're%20a%20local%20Seattle-area%20company,%20who%20started%20making%20this%20Sriracha-style%20small-batch%20hot%20sauce%20last%20year,%20using%20quality%20organic,%20all-natural%20ingredients.%20The%20sauce's%20development%20was%20based%20on%20authentic%20South%20Asian%20flavors,%20specifically%20that%20wonderful%20sweet/savory/umami%20of%20Vietnamese%20cuisine.%20The%20team%20reached%20out%20to%20me%20a%20little%20while%20ago,%20asking%20if%20I%20was%20interested%20in%20sampling%20their%20product%20--%20they%20know%20I'm%20kind%20of%20a%20hot%20sauce/condiment%20nut%20--%20and%20upon%20receiving%20a%20bottle,%20I%20tried%20a%20spoonful%20with%20gusto.%20Frankly,%20it's%20what%20Sriracha%20should%20be.%20Sweet,%20spicy,%20brightly%20flavorful,%20and%20something%20that%20I%20rarely%20say%20about%20hot%20sauces:%20FRESH.%20A%20lot%20of%20hot%20sauces%20have%20more%20of%20a%20smoky,%20dry%20spice%20flavor%20--%20which%20is%20great,%20don't%20get%20me%20wrong%20--%20but%20Fix%20tasted%20like%20someone%20took%20a%20mortar%20and%20pestle,%20ground%20up%20fresh%20chili%20peppers,%20herbs%20and%20aromatics,%20and%20poured%20that%20delicious%20mixture%20in%20a%20bottle.%20There's%20a%20reason%20they%20call%20it%20Fix,%20because%20it's%20totally%20going%20to%20make%20you%20want%20to%20Break%20Bad%20every%20chance%20you%20get,%20and%20put%20it%20on%20anything%20and%20everything%20--%20it's%20a%20good%20thing%20there's%20some%20decent%20spice%20to%20it,%20I'd%20totally%20eat%20it%20with%20a%20spoon.%20It%20will%20be%20especially%20nice%20for%20summer%20foods%20--%20burgers,%20hot%20dogs,%20veggies%20--%20anything%20on%20the%20grill%20that%
