Acerca de mí
After a life-long love affair with rich and tasty food, I'm learning how to cook and eat to maximize health and energy without sacrificing the flavors and textures of delicious food. It must be working because I've lost 100 pounds and I feel amazing while not feeling like I've "missed out."

My mother is a wonderful cook and I've learned a lot about the love of good Italian food from her. I grew up watching re-runs of The French Chef on PBS and watched all the stellar PBS food programming (Todd English, Graham Kerr, Jacques Pepin) long before I knew about Food Network. My first trip to England in 1998 introduced me to a young chef called Jamie Oliver. I bought is first book and fell in love with his simple, fresh flavors. Nowadays I watch Ina Garten and try to adapt her elegant recipes with a healthier spin and America's Test Kitchen is one of my favorite shows on television.
