Acerca de mí
I'm originally from Toledo, Ohio. We moved to Lady Lake, Florida in 1997. While in Toledo, I had the fortune to have my own restaurant, called The Bum Steer. It was set up as a cafeteria style, featuring Hot Roast Beef, Stuffed Cabbages, Hungarian Hot Dogs, Salads, Beef and Noodles, Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Beans, Green Beans, Stewed Tomatoes, Mashed Potatoes Homemade Soups and Chili. Of course we had beverages and coffee. No Alcholic Beverages.
When leaving the Bum Steer, I was hired at a hospital to be a 10 am to 7 pm cook for the patient food line and also the cafeteria that served the employees and guests. When the opening came up for a Special Function Person, I was asked by my employer if I would take the position. This was great. I handled all the coffee clutches, Doctor's continuing education luncheons at noon every once a week. I was in my glory. After leaving the employment and having served 7 1/2 years, I left, to get my own restaurant. The doctor's told me, that if they would judge me on a scale of 1 to 10, I would be an 11. Nice compliment. The last restaurant I had was called Carol's Yum-Yum. It was a family style food service having homemade dishes . Open from 6 am. till 10 pm. This was a marriage in itself. I had this restaurant for 14 years, and loved every minute of it. I retired, and moved to Florida with my husband. I still love to cook, and I believe it is good therapy for me.
Guess I have gone on long enough. Hope you enjoy my background in food service.
