I have been married for 30 years and still have my 25 yr old son living at home. When I'm baking, he always says, "now , Mom, don't forget to put the ___in"!! My husband loves my cooking and never complains. The only thing he refuses to eat is ratatouille. We LOVE lobster and one summer when my mom came up from Florida to stay, we had lobster 13 times! I have been a country inn manager, chef when the cook got drunk, chinese cooking school teacher, caterer, and small business owner of a gourmet spiced pecan company.

Lidia Bastianich is my new guru. Every recipe of hers I've ever done has been wonderful. I have gotten into Julia and Jacques' recipes on line. Also, I go to America's Test Kitchen, Best New Recipes, Cook's Illustrated, and Epicurious whenever I need recipe input. I also have a collection of cookbooks that number over 100. Is there anyone out there that rues the demise of Gourmet Magazine as I do??
