Acerca de mí
I think back to my childhood and I can't remember cooking. I think, I messed up boiling water. Then, I got married and my wonderful husband learned to eat what I learned to make.
The truth is that I used to cook and bake a lot but never felt particular joy from it. We had to eat and I did the best I could, which was pretty good. I baked all our breads and cakes and cooked a variety of dishes. It started and ended there.
I have always been fine with cooking and baking. It was not until I started blogging that I fell in love with it. This is an adventure, I am on and I am loving every step of the way. I am not afraid of failing although I am disappointed. My blogs show my failures as well as my successes. I can only learn through the mistakes.
My husband is on a gluten free diet and I face the challenges that anyone who cooks a special diet faces. Nowadays, gluten free is much easier than when he was diagnosed. We still do not purchase mixes or readymade. It is more fun for me to make the food. This is the reason for two blogs, one gluten free and one where everything goes, almost.

- 15 de Junio de 2011Hi Chaya, I'm very happy to meet you! I'll be following you and Amos for some GFrecipes.
Many of the guests that come to stay at the Fishing Lodge that I work at are on special diets, whether they be GF, diabetic, or what-have-you. When booking their trip, they are given a form to fill out, stating whether they have any special dietary needs, allergies, etc. Sometimes these are not filled out, so we cooks have to scramble pretty fast to come up with something safe and palatable (and beautiful, lol). I know you will be another go-to person! Thanks for being here. - 15 de Junio de 2011Hi Chaya, It's nice to meet you. Thank you for the follow. I look forward to sharing recipes.

- 16 de Noviembre de 2010Does anyone have a recipe for real NY bakery cookies? The kind that are sandwiched with raspberry jelly and dipped in chocolate. And/or dipped in colored or chocolate sprinkles.
- 19 de Septiembre de 2010Chaya, you don't include the corn in the ingredients in the golden casserole, but it it is there for the directions. How much corn do you need?
Happy new year.
