Welsh/American. Grew up in the UK, lived in Paris, France for 8 years and then California for 17 years. Now back in the UK. Interests include reading, walking in the lovely Gower Peninsula near us in Wales, cinema and especially cooking with my husband of 34 years. We love to have wine with dinner and usually open a really good bottle on Saturday with dinner.
Love travelling in Europe, especially France. There's something about the place which is indescribable, but as soon as the car comes off the ferry and we're on French soil the relaxation begins.

I have always enjoyed cooking, probably because I enjoy eating, especially with wine. I grew up in the UK and spent many vacations in France. My eyes were opened when at 17 I discovered the pleasures of French cuisine on a camping vacation. Wow! We had nothing like this in the UK back then (1968). Ever since then I have been making French dishes, but not to the exclusion of all other cuisines. I also enjoy Italian and I have to say that Britain has some good traditional recipes as well. But I guess I'd have to say France has been my biggest influence.
