Acerca de mí
I learned to cook from my mom and other family and friends, but mostly by experimenting on my own. My mom always said that anyone who can read (a recipe) can cook and I believe that, too. It just takes the desire to do so. I now have quite a collection of cookbooks and recipes. My family grew up having dinner together and I have tried to maintain that with my own family. I like to follow a recipe the first time and then customize it to make it my own. I try to use fresh, locally grown ingredients, especially from farmer's markets and my own garden, and putting together simple but delicious meals that my family and friends can enjoy together. In addition to getting dinner on the table every night, I mainly cook for relaxation and as a creative outlet. When I'm not cooking or reading recipes, I'm writing, reading, doing community service work, and spending time with my husband and three kids and new daughter-in-law, whenever they are home. I was a technical writer for many years and now teach mindfulness meditation.

- 04 de Noviembre de 2010Hi, Lynn.o glad you've joined Cook, Eat, Share. It's a great place to put your recipes so you won't lose them or tell people how to find them. I've tried some good things off of this website. Tom's cousin on his mother's side is Farrell Podgorsek and she has some good ones on here. Looking forward to seeing yours. All is well. Rebecca is driving up for the weekend, so it will be great to see her. As Tom says, "It will be a whole lot of girls at home."
Love,
Judy - 04 de Noviembre de 2010Hiya Judy,
Rich gave me this link...hope you don't mind. What a wonderful website! And, now I can't lose your shabbat in a pot recipe.
I'm hoping to get some recipes up here myself in the not too distant future, so keep an eye out.
Hope all's well.
