Martin has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures for the past 18 years. He is currently a managing partner of a 50 year old Hispanic health and wellness retail company in East Los Angeles, Herbs of Mexico Inc. Martin has long been involved with Herbs of Mexico as a customer; an employee; and now as its President/CEO. He attributed his deep interest in the Company from his mother’s weekly visits to the “Herb Store.” During his childhood, she would make this hour long cross-town trip on public transportation with Martin (and sister) in tow. Later on in his life, he would have several stints consulting and working for the small store. Martin became majority partner of Herbs of Mexico in 2006. His main goal and focus for Herbs of Mexico is to become the “Trader Joe’s” of retail stores for the Hispanic Health and Wellness industry sector.
