Receta Fresh Peach Pie By Dottie

Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 5 x peaches large ripe red food coloring
- 1/4 c. sugar (approximately)
- 1 x 9" pie shell baked whipped cream/ice cream
Direcciones
- Combine 3/4 c. of sugar, cornstarch and water in saucepan, stirring till cornstarch is dissolved. Finely chop or possibly crush three of the peaches. Add in these to cornstarch mix. Blend in food coloring. Bring to boiling point, reduce heat and simmer till mix is thick and clear. Stir it constantly during the cooking period. Cold. Slice remaining peaches, arrange them on bottom of baked pie shell. Sprinkle with about 1/4th c. of sugar. (If peaches are very sweet, less sugar may be used.) Spoon cooked mix onto sliced peaches. Chill for several hrs before serving. Top with whipped cream or possibly vanilla ice cream, if you like.
