A mom who likes everything to be easy and quick. Mostly prefer oven recipes or Crockpot foods. Having 8 children within 10 years makes one realize "less is more". Economical and safe to keep cooking while out of kitchen...thus oven or Crockpot choice. Not too spicey, and nothing children are usually adverse to. Cooking seems to be the "hobby" of my life...out of necessity. Watched grandmother cook very old-fashioned recipes that required much effort and decided early on that was not for me. Also I enjoy "easy clean-up" :) :)

2 different grandmothers with very different slants on food. Economy was paramount in both kitchens. Storage was diffcult in one home due to it being in a rural area of the South which was without electricity. No refrigerator!!!! Only an old fashioned "Ice Box". I think my grandmothers worked "miracles" with food...too many stories to tell here. Probably not believeable either!
