Acerca de mí
I was born in Alpine, Texas on 2 March 1952. I attended Central School from first grade to the middle of eighth grade. Our family moved to Missouri in December of 1967 where I became a Hartville Eagle. After four years of baseball, and one of basketball, I graduated Hartville High School and went into the electrical union in Kansas City, Missouri. My girlfriend and I got married in 1974 then I joined the Army in 1976. My first unit was the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I was a member of the cross-country team and ran 21 miles a day.
When I joined the Army I tried going to college, but my Military Occupational Specialty¹, (MOS), prevented any further education at the college level until 1984. I attended many courses on my way from Private E-1 to Staff Sergeant E-6 at Battalion Level. Because of my MOS, 54 Echo 3 Tango, Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Non Commissioned Officer, a Top Secret Clearance was required. Working at battalion level gave me an introduction into office skills to include filing and giving instructions to soldiers in the battalions under my duty station. This included training from classroom environments to field exercises and the gas chamber on Fort Polk.
As of November 2009, I am currently Adjutant for our local American Legion Post here in Hartville. My road to success with the American Legion and my wife’s business, Morell’s Magnificent Mouthwatering Munchies and More is to better my education when I can. Ted A. Morell, (2010). In conclusion and just for more information, I am currently writing 2 books and a screen play on one of the books. This process is slow and tedious, but necessary.
I do dabble in poetry and have several poems that were written before 911 and a few after 911. Other than that I am a Texan transplanted to Missouri in 1967.
