Receta Alexander Walters' "French Canadian Chili"

Ingredientes
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 2 x Onions, minced
- 2 lb Lean grnd beef
- 2 x : red, green and yellow peppers, minced
- 1 x Jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 ct (10 ounce) white mushrooms, minced
- 5 x Garden tomatoes, minced
- 5 x Plum tomatoes, minced
- 2 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
- 2 can (28 ounce) stewed tomatoes
- 1 jar , (16 ounce) garden style tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Dry oregano
- 2 Tbsp. Dry thyme
- 1 Tbsp. Celery salt Grnd pepper
- 4 can Red kidney beans, liquid removed
Direcciones
- First, pour some vegetable oil a large skillet. Then add in the garlic and onion, letting them saute/fry till they're translucent/soft. Then add in the grnd beef and brown it.
- Add in all the peppers, jalapenos included, plus the mushrooms to the post, continue cooking the vegetables till they soften a bit (2-3 min). To a large pot, add in all the canned tomato paste, the canned stewed tomatoes and the minced fresh plum and garden tomatoes.
- Combine browned meat/peppers mix with tomato mix in large pot. Add in the oregano, thyme, celery salt and pepper.
- Let entire mix simmer for 20-25 min.
- After it's simmered, add in the beans and simmer for another 15 to 20 min till the sauce is the consistency of a thick gravy.
