Receta Aloo Chana Saag Chicken Curry
Ingredientes
- 3 T grapeseed oil
- 3 cinnamon sticks (I used cassia this time)
- 8 whole cloves
- 1 1/2 t dark mustard seeds
- 1 t cumin seeds
- 25 fresh or frozen curry leaves
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup minced garlic
- 1/4 cup minced ginger
- 1/2 t turmeric
- 1 t paprika (or cayenne)
- 2 t ground cumin
- 1 T ground coriander
- 1 t garam masala (more will be used later in recipe)
- 3 medium tomatoes, chopped, with juices
- 1 T tomato paste
- salt to taste
- 3 small zucchini, chopped
- 1000 grams baby potatoes, chopped into bite sized pieces (I always leave skin on, use boiling potatoes)
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken, chopped into bite sized pieces (I used a combination of white and dark meat)
- 1 10-0z box of frozen spinach, not squeezed dry
- 4 cups chickpeas, with cooking liquid (or 2 15-oz cans of chickpeas with 2 cups of chicken stock)
- 1 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 T garam masala, to taste
