  1. Soak black beans in hot water a few min. Drain and mash beans with garlic. Drop asparagus in boiling water and boil 2 min. Drain immediately. Heat 2 Tbsp. oil in skillet or possibly wok till very warm. Add in beef, stir quickly, then remove from pan. Add in remaining oil to skillet and heat. Add in bean mix and stir over high heat for a few seconds. Add in salt and asparagus. Stir-fry 1 minute. Add in chicken stock, cover and cook 2 min. Mix cornstarch, sugar and water and stir into meat mix. Stir till sauce is thick and smooth. Add in beef and blend quickly.
