%20has%20sold%20his%20home%20and%20is%20moving%20in%20less%20than%20a%20month.%20Besides%20the%20many%20photo%20albums,%20fancy%20barware,%20and%20furniture%20that%20needs%20to%20be%20cleared%20from%20his%20home,%20is%20much%20of%20my%20immediate%20family's%20belongings.%20When%20we%20sold%20our%20family%20home%20almost%20four%20years%20ago,%20there%20were%20so%20many%20special%20treasures%20that%20we%20wanted%20to%20keep%20but%20had%20no%20room%20to%20store%20in%20our%20new%20tiny%20apartment.%20Alas,%20my%20poor%20Oma%20and%20Opa%20were%20left%20with%20a%20basement%20full%20of%20all%20our%20old%20memories%20(which%20may%20be%20a%20euphemism%20for%20%22old%20junk%22)%20until%20we%20could%20figure%20out%20what%20to%20do%20with%20it%20all.%20Though%20we%20still%20haven't%20a%20clue%20what%20to%20do%20with%20all%20of%20our%20old%20mementos,%20the%20time%20has%20come%20to%20take%20it%20all%20back,%20which%20inevitably%20means%20a%20nostalgic%20walk%20down%20memory%20lane.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEach%20time%20I%20see%20my%20mom%20I%20get%20a%20delivery%20of%20some%20of%20my%20old%20memories%20(*cough*%20junk!)%20for%20me%20to%20sort%20through%20and%20store%20in%20my%20own%20home.%20Though%20there's%20surely%20been%20a%20lot%20of%20useless%20crap%20that%20I've%20come%20across%20that%20I%20haven't%20a%20clue%20why%20I%20ever%20saved,%20there%20have%20been%20some%20really%20memorable%20and%20personal%20belongings%20that%20I'm%20so,%20so%20glad%20I%20held%20onto%20(or%20my%20mom%20coerced%20me%20to%20hold%20onto).%20The%20most%20special%20boxes%20I've%20come%20across%20so%20far%20are%20the%20ones%20that%20contain%20old%20sketchbooks!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20as%20long%20as%20I%20can%20remember%20I%20have%20kept%20a%20sketchbook.%20Actually,%20I%20should%20correct%20that%20to%20for%20as%20long%20as%20I%20can%20remember%20I%20have%20kept%20numerous%20sketchbooks!%20I%20always%20have%20one%20for%20concentrated%20illustration,%20one%20for%20practicing%20my%20handwriting,%20one%20for%20scrapbooking,%20one%20for%20a%20journal,%20one%20for%20recipes,%20one%20for%20brainstorming,%20one%20for%20painting,%20one%20for%20-%20oh%20dear%20lord,%20there's%20too%20many%20to%20count,%20and%20you%20get%20the%20gist!%20The%20point%20is,%20I%20clearly%20have%20too%20many%20sketchbooks%20for%20my%20own%20good,%20but%20my%20sketchbooks%20are%20the%20main%20destination%20where%20I%20get%20to%20express%20myself%20in%20whichever%20way%20I%20so%20choose.%20Coming%20across%20an%20old%20sketchbook%20from%20University,%20when%20I%20first%20began%20my%20blog,%20was%20really%20interesting.%20Tucked%20between%20carefully-written%20song%20lyrics%20(so%20emo!)%20and%20drawings%20of%20quirky%20villains%20were%20brainstorming%20sketches%20of%20future%20recipes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20so%20amazing%20to%20be%20able%20to%20look%20back%20on%20the%20many%20different%20recipe%20and%20flavour%20combinations%20that%20I%20had%20come%20up%20with%20while%20my%20blog%20was%20still%20so%20new%20and%20fresh.%20Some%20of%20them%20turned%20into%20great%20blog%20posts%20and%20recipes%20that%20I've%20shared%20right%20here,%20though%20so%20many%20of%20them%20have%20remained%20just%20a%20dream.%20Looking%20back,%20I%20can't%20help%20but%20want%20to%20kick%20myself%20for%20never%20making%20so%20many%20of%20these%20fantastic%20recipe%20ideas%20a%20reality!%20Though%20I%20can't%20turn%20back%20time,%20I%20can%20catch%20up%20by%20reigniting%20my%20inspiration%20for%20recipe%20development%20by%20making%20all%20of%20my%20old%20recipes%20concepts%20a%20reality!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20of%20my%20old%20recipe%20concepts%20that%20I%20was%20really%20eager%20to%20create%20was%20a%20crostini%20topped%20with%20ricotta,%20roasted%20asparagus,%20prosciutto,%20and%20arugula.%20I%20could%20tell%20just%20by%20reading%20it%20that%20it%20was%20going%20to%20be%20great!%20I%20love%20this%20combination%20of%20ingredients%20for%20the%20way%20all%20of%20the%20different%20flavours%20and%20textures%20contrast%20with%20one%20another.%20I%20love%20how%20the%20creamy%20and%20subtle%20ricotta%20plays%20off%20of%20the%20super%20salty%20prosciutto,%20crunchy%20asparagus,%20and%20peppery%20arugula.%20These%20crostini%20made%20the%20perfect%20casual%20weekend%20lunch%20for%20my%20boyfriend%20Chris%20and%20I,%20though%20thanks%20to%20there%20beautiful%20appearance,%20these%20would%20also%20be%20fantastic%20served%20for%20guests!%20If%20you%20plan%20on%20serving%20these%20for%20friends%20and%20family%20when%20entertaining,%20I%20recommend%20making%20the%20ricotta%20mixture%20in%20advance%20and%20keeping%20in%20the%20fridge%20until%20ready%20to%20assemble%20so%20that%20you%20can%20whip%20these%20up%20in%20under%2010%20minutes%20when%20ready%20to%20serve!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENote:%20I%20chose%20not%20to%20include%20ingredient%20amounts%20in%20this%20recipe%20to%20encourage%20you%20to%20learn%20how%20to%20taste%20and%20season%20on%20your%20own%20and%20be%20able%20to%20adapt%20this%20recipe%20from%20a%20lunch%20for%20two%20to%20a%20
