%20but%20today%20didn%E2%80%99t%20feel%20so%20bad.%20%20I%E2%80%99ve%20fallen%20into%20the%20swing%20of%208%20am%20classes%20and%20my%20friend%20Janessa%20and%20I%20had%20a%20group%20project%20to%20work%20on%20that%20filled%20up%20our%20long%20break%20between%20classes.%20%20Throughout%20the%20day%20I%20did%20eat%20all%20of%20my%20packed%20lunch%20components.%20%20I%20also%20bought%20a%20short%20apple%20cider%20from%20the%20school%20coffee%20shop.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20a%20total%20fail%20like%20the%20Tim%20Horton%E2%80%99s%20cider,%20but%20it%20still%20tasted%20a%20lot%20like%20warm%20apple%20juice.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20need%20to%20find%20a%20good%20cider%20before%20the%20end%20of%20September%20Apple%20Month!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdam%20came%20to%20pick%20me%20up%20at%20the%20end%20of%20the%20day%20and%20wanted%20me%20to%20go%20to%20Wegmans%20with%20him%20to%20pick%20something%20up%20for%20school.%20%20He%20plied%20me%20with%20hot%20bar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20caved%20easily.%20%20To%20be%20fair,%20I%20genuinely%20needed%20some%20greens%20to%20go%20with%20my%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlus%20a%20few%20pieces%20of%20chicken%20for%20good%20measure.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%E2%80%99s%20a%20good%20thing%20I%20was%20still%20hungry%20when%20I%20got%20home%20(ha!%20when%20am%20I%20ever%20not%20still%20hungry?)%20because%20I%20got%20to%20work%20cooking%20an%20actual%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99m%20not%20sure%20what%20corn%20chowder%20is%20supposed%20to%20look%20like%20but%20to%20me%20that%20looks%20like%20success.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20pulled%20the%20recipe%20for%20Bacon-Corn%20Chowder%20with%20Shrimp%20from%20Cooking%20Light%20last%20month%20but%20I%20was%20waiting%20until%20it%20felt%20more%20like%20fall%20to%20try%20it%20out.%20%20Here%20were%20my%20changes%20-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20gave%20myself%20a%20large%20serving%20and%20happily%20tucked%20into%20the%20first%20soup%20of%20the%20season.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdam%20and%20I%20thought%20that%20the%20recipe%20was%20good,%20but%20not%20amazing%20like%20we%20wanted%20it%20to%20be.%20%20I%20wanted%20the%20flavors%20to%20be%20more%20vibrant%20and%20definitely%20sweeter.%20%20I%20think%20a%20large%20part%20of%20the%20problem%20was%20using%20frozen%20corn;%20I%E2%80%99d%20love%20to%20make%20this%20again%20but%20with%20fresh%20corn%20off%20the%20cob.%20%20We%20gave%20it%20a%206.5/10%20but%20considering%20how%20low-calorie%20it%20was%20(~300%20calories%20for%201%20and%202/3%20cups)%20the%20flavor%20certainly%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20bad.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20taste%20buds%20weren%E2%80%99t%20fully%20satisfied%20by%20the%20meal%20though.%20%20I%20actually%20ended%20up%20making%20myself%20an%20after-dinner%20coffee.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20little%20bit%20of%20lukewarm%20coffee,%20a%20Tbsp%20of%20sugar,%20and%20a%20lotta%20bit%20of%20Plain%20Silk%20Almond%20Milk.%20%20I%20hope%20the%20caffeine%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20keep%20me%20up!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
