Receta Beans (Oklahoma Style)

Ingredientes
- 2 c. dry pinto beans
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1/4 pound salt pork, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoon salt
- Tabasco to taste
- 2 (1 lb.) cans stewed tomatoes
- 3/4 c. minced green peppers
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- Dash black pepper
Direcciones
- Soak beans overnight covered with water. Don't drain. Add in onion, salt pork, garlic and salt. Cover and simmer 2 hrs over low heat. Add in tomatoes, green pepper, Tabasco, sugar and black pepper. Cover and cook about 3 more hrs or possibly till tender. Serve with cornbread. Yummy.
