- Supplies Required for Egg less Rose TeaCakes:
- All purpose flour: 11/2 cups
- Sugar: 1/2 cup
- Baking Powder: 1 tsp
- Baking Soda: 1/2 tsp
- Salt: a pinch
- Yogurt: 1/2 cup
- Sour cream: 1/2 cup
- Butter: 1/2 stick (melted in microwave)
- Rose Essence : 1/2 tsp
- Milk: 1/2 cup
- Oil spray to grease the cake pan

.%20It%20was%20great%20fun%20catching%20up%20with%20friends,%20reading%20and%20watching%20the%20classic%20holiday%20stories%20and%20just%20RELAXING...%20!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20hindsight%20I%20think%20I%20did%20lot%20of%20cooking%20and%20baking,%20but%20couldn't%20do%20much%20shooting.%20Should%20i%20attribute%20it%20to%20chilly%20and%20cloudy%20days???%20The%20dip%20in%20the%20temperature%20to%20below%2020%20degrees%20F...snowy%20evenings%20makes%20it%20never%20the%20less%20a%20difficult%20project%20to%20squeeze%20out%20of%20the%20warm%20and%20comfortable%20home%20and%20do%20even%20grocery.%20The%20only%20thing%20on%20your%20wish%20is%20for%20a%20hot%20cup%20of%20tea%20and%20some%20vegetable%20chips%20with%20a%20dip%20:)))%20But%20yesterday%20I%20mustered%20%20the%20courage%20to%20go%20out%20a%20bit%20for%20a%20quick%20grocery%20and%20make%20something%20plus%20did%20my%20down%20jacket%20test%20:)%20This%20was%20followed%20by%20alternate%20cups%20of%20tea%20and%20coffee%20and%20I%20baked%20lil'%20teacakes%20in%20teacake%20pan%20I%20got%20on%20Christmas.%20The%20cakelets%20are%20looking%20like%20Lil%20angels%20in%20assorted%20shaped%20and%20I%20added%20rose%20flavor%20%20to%20make%20it%20more%20flavorful!%20Check%20out%20the%20aromatic%20recipe%20%20!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20for%20Rose%20TeaCakes%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELightly%20spray%20the%20tea%20cake%20pan%20with%20oil%20and%20line%20the%20cupcake%20pan%20with%20liners.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGet%20the%20%20butter%20to%20room%20temperature%20and%20micro%20it%20in%20a%20dish%20for%20~%2030%20seconds.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20pan,%20sift%20all%20purpose%20flour%20for%202-3%20times%20and%20add%20sugar,%20salt,%20baking%20soda%20and%20baking%20powder.%20Sift%20all%20the%20dry%20ingredients%20again.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20butter,%20milk%20and%20add%20one%20egg%20at%20a%20time.%20Beat%20well%20after%20each%20egg%20with%20a%20mixer%20for%20about%202%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EScrap%20the%20sides%20and%20finally%20churn%20the%20mixer%20in%20the%20bowl%20on%20all%20the%20sides.%20(I%20generally%20prefer%20to%20beat%20the%20mixture%20in%20one%20direction).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20the%20mixture%20is%20too%20thick,%20then%20add%20little%20more%20milk%20to%20get%20thick%20yet%20running%20consistency.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFinally%20add%20rose%20essence%20and%20run%20the%20mixture%20for%20another%2030%20seconds.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%201/3%20of%20a%20spoon%20and%20pour%20the%20mixture%20in%20the%20tea%20cake%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20the%20remaining%20mixture%20in%20the%20cupcake%20pan%20or%20ramekins.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20baked%20it%20for%20approximately%20one%20hour%20at%20350%20degrees%20till%20you%20get%20a%20lovely%20aroma%20in%20the%20kitchen;%20a%20light%20golden%20brown%20color;%20and%20generally%20a%20crack%20on%20the%20top%20of%20the%20cake.%20It%20made%20the%20cake%20little%20dark%20brown%20rather%20than%20golden%20brown.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20want%20to%20add%20eggs,%20add%202%20eggs%20to%20replace%20yogurt%20and%20sour%20cream%20and%20bake%20it%20for%2025%20-35%20minutes%20to%20get%20golden%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20the%20customary%20%20bake%20test%20with%20a%20skewer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20it%20cool%20for%205%20to%2010%20minutes,%20in%20the%20oven%20and%20if%20you%20cannot%20resist,%20it's%20absolutely%20okay.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESprinkle%20the%20tea%20cakes%20with%20sugar.%20Just%20pick%20it%20and%20enjoy%20!%20You%20deserve%20it%20!!!!!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20assorted%20tea%20cakes%20in%20shapes%20of%20teeny%20tiny%20bundts,%20roses,%20hearts,%20chrysanthemums%20were%20looking%20lovely%20and%20tasted%20like%20soft%20cookies...%20!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20is%20nothing%20sweeter%20in%20this%20world%20than%20a%20fresh%20oven%20baked%20cake%20at%20home%20sweet%20home....!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20Rose%20cupcake%20draped%20in%20rose%20frill%20in%20pale%20pink....%20!%20A%20quick%20icing%20is%20made%20with%202tsp%20of%20sour%20cream,%202%20tsp%20of%20sugar,%202%20drops%20of%20rose%20essence.%20Decorate%20with%20silver%20balls...%20!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERELISH.....%20!!!!!!!!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20Wish%20Each%20One%20of%20You%20and%20Your%20Loved%20One%20a%20Sweet%20and%20Warm%20Winters%20%20filled%20with%20Loads%20of%20Comfort%20Foods,%20Happiness%20plus%20Blessings%20!!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThank%20you%20so%20much%20for%20stopping%20by%20my%20space%20and%20stay%20tuned%20for%20upcoming%20posts!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20Umpteen%20best%20wishes,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEditor%20in%20chief:%20Dr.%20K.K.%20Mangla;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPhotography%20&%20Technical%20Management:%20Ashish%20Gupta;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAuthor%20:%20Dr.%20Sonia%20Mangla%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
