Receta Chicken White Bean Florentine Soup
I make soup all year round, we love soup! I save leftovers to throw into soups. I also make huge pots of soup and give some to family and friends. I can not make a small pot of soup, I have tried it just doesn't work :)
Ingredientes
- 2 cartons of chicken broth, or homemade
- 1 lg can Hanover Great northern beans
- 1 sm 15oz can Hanover Great northern beans
- 1 28oz can diced tomatoes, slightly drained
- 1.5 lbs shredded chicken
- 6-8 stalks of celery chopped
- 1lb carrots chopped
- 2-3 lg onions chopped
- 1-2 tsp chopped garlic
- 24oz fresh baby spinach chopped
- 8-10 cups water, add chicken bouillon powder if you like
- 1 1/2 cup uncooked pastina
- fresh basil chopped, about 4-6 lg leaves
- salt and pepper
- dry thyme to taste
Direcciones
- Add onions, carrots, celery, beans, tomatoes, broth, garlic, water,thyme and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer till vegetables are done.
- Add chicken and spinach and return to a boil.
- Add pastina and cook for 6 mins.
- Add basil and season to taste.
