Receta chicken with soy sauce ( ayam kecap )
Introducing gravy sauce ala indonesian style.. more lightly and heavy.. we always serve with steamed rice and some spicy sambal..
Ingredientes
- 500 gr chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- 5 shallots, minced
- 2 garlic, minced
- ½ white onion, cut ring
- 2 tbsp dark or sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 250 ml water
- 1 fresh tomato, cubed
- Salt, ground pepper
Direcciones
- Heat the oil or butter on a low flame..
- saute half of white onion, shallots and garlic until softened..
- add chicken, and light soy sauce until brown all side evenly..
- add dark soy sauce, tomato sauce, half of white onion, honey and half ot fresh tomato, salt and ground pepper..
- add water and waiting until the water is less. Keep reducing the sauce until it reaches your desired intensity.
- serve immediately with steamed rice or potatoes wedges..
