.%20%20NOTE:%20I%20should%20make%20those%20again,%20and%20update%20with%20newer%20pictures.%20Maybe%20I've%20just%20had%20dry%20and%20tasteless%20banana%20bread%20that%20left%20a%20bad%20food%20memory.%20%20%20Whatever%20it%20is,%20this%20recipe%20changed%20my%20way%20of%20thinking.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20again,%20I%20found%20that%20I%20had%20three%20bananas%20that%20had%20reached%20that%20use-it-or-lose-it%20stage,%20and%20there%20are%20only%20so%20many%20bananas%20I%20can%20store%20in%20my%20freezer.%20%20How%20could%20I%20make%20banana%20bread%20more%20interesting,%20I%20thought%20to%20myself.%20Aha!%20Who%20doesn't%20love%20chocolate?%20So%20I%20did%20a%20little%20internet%20research%20for%20a%20banana%20bread%20recipes%20that%20uses%20chocolate.%20%20Bingo.%20%20%20My%20two%20favorite%20baking%20ingredients,%20that%20I%20can%20trust%20will%20yield%20a%20very%20moist%20cake%20are%20buttermilk%20or%20sour%20cream.%20When%20I%20saw%20that%20sour%20cream%20was%20a%20key%20ingredient,%20I%20was%20sold.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETIP:%20I%20like%20using%20my%20potato%20ricer%20to%20mash%20ripe%20bananas%20(it's%20also%20a%20great%20way%20to%20squeeze%20out%20excess%20water%20from%20spinach).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ereally%20do%20think%20that%20makes%20a%20difference%20in%20texture.%20%20%20Adding%20chocolate%20chips%20to%20this%20banana%20bread%20should%20be%20most%20excellent.%20%20The%20dough%20is%20really,%20really%20good!%20Usually,%20I%20invite%20my%20husband%20to%20lick%20the%20spatula.%20%20(I%20might%20have%20left%20him%20out,%20this%20time.%20Shhhh.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20bread%20took%20just%20under%20one%20hour%20and%20ten%20minutes.%20It's%20really%20important%20to%20do%20the%20toothpick%20test.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20aroma%20of%20chocolate%20is%20irresistible.%20It%20was%20hard%20to%20wait%20for%20the%20bread%20to%20cool%20completely,%20but%20I%20did.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20bread%20is%20super,%20super%20moist.%20I%20could%20hardly%20wait%20to%20taste%20this!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETASTING%20NOTES:%20%20My%20faith%20in%20banana%20bread%20has%20been%20restored.%20%20The%20balance%20of%20chocolate%20to%20banana%20is%20spot%20on.%20%20The%20cake%20was%20very%20tender.%20I%20didn't%20get%20any%20tartness%20from%20the%20sour%20cream,%20but%20I%20do%20credit%20that%20the%20sour%20cream%20made%20the%20bread%20really%20moist.%20%20There%20were%20just%20enough%20chocolate%20chips%20to%20say%20%22hello,%20don't%20I%20taste%20good%22?%20%20But%20there%20weren't%20too%20many%20chips%20to%20overpower%20the%20banana%20flavor.%20%20%20This%20is%20really,%20REALLY%20good%20banana%20bread!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemember%20how%20I%20said%20bananas%20are%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20power%20snacks?%20%20That%20was%20my%20rational%20for%20packing%20a%20slice%20of%20this%20banana%20power%20snack,%20encased%20in%20chocolate.%20%20I%20enjoyed%20this%20recipe%20so%20much%20that%20I've%20made%20it%20twice.%20So,%20I%20guess%20I%20don't%20dislike%20banana%20bread,%20after%20all.%20I%20just%20needed%20to%20make%20one%20that%20wasn't%20dry%20and%20boring.%20%20I%20shall%20make%20this%20reicpe%20again--%20maybe%20even%20adapt%20them%20as%20muffins.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
