- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 3/4 cup Dutch processed cocoa
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups chocolate chunks (I used Lindt 70% EXCELLENCE Bars)
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- Sea salt, for sprinkling on cookies

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECookies%20are%20hands%20down%20my%20favorite%20dessert.%20We%20have%20over%20200%20cookie%20recipes%20on%20our%20site.%20Some%20might%20call%20me%20crazy,%20some%20might%20suggest%20cookie%20therapy,%20but%20I%20am%20just%20trying%20to%20make%20the%20world%20a%20better%20place%20with%20cookies!%20Cookies%20make%20everything%20better.%20And%20so%20for%20my%20birthday,%20we%20eat%20cookies!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20year,%20I%20am%20celebrating%20with%20Chocolate%20Nutella%20Cookie%20Bars%20with%20Sea%20Salt.%20These%20bars%20are%20EVERYTHING!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20dreamt%20up%20the%20recipe%20in%20my%20head,%20I%20kind%20of%20figured%20they%20would%20be%20good.%20I%20am%20pretty%20much%20a%20cookie%20profesh,%20but%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20know%20they%20would%20be%20eat%20the%20whole%20pan%20by%20yourself%20good!%20Yep,%20they%20are%20the%20cookie%20bars%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20want%20to%20share.%20The%20take%20the%20pan%20in%20the%20closet%20and%20cut%20square%20after%20square%20kind%20of%20good.%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20do%20that,%20our%20closet%20is%20way%20to%20small%20in%20our%20rental%20house,%20but%20I%20might%20have%20taken%20the%20pan%20into%20the%20bedroom%20and%20hid%20from%20the%20boys:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20chocolate%20cookie%20bars%20are%20rich,%20fudgy%20and%20will%20remind%20you%20of%20a%20brownie,%20but%20in%20my%20opinion%20they%20are%20better%20because,%20duh,%20they%20are%20cookie%20bars!%20The%20bars%20are%20loaded%20with%20chocolate%20chunks%20and%20a%20layer%20of%20Nutella.%20I%20top%20them%20off%20with%20a%20sprinkle%20of%20sea%20salt,%20which%20is%20the%20perfect%20finishing%20touch!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECelebrate%20World%20Nutella%20Day%20and%20my%20birthday%20on%20Friday%20by%20indulging%20in%20these%20Chocolate%20Nutella%20Cookie%20Bars!%20They%20are%20soooooooo%20worth%20it!%20I%20might%20even%20top%20mine%20with%20a%20scoop%20of%20ice%20cream.%20Why%20not?%20It%E2%80%99s%20my%20birthday!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocolate%20Nutella%20Cookie%20Bars%20with%20Sea%20Salt%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocolate%20cookie%20bars%20with%20dark%20chocolate%20chunks,%20a%20layer%20of%20Nutella,%20and%20a%20sprinkle%20of%20sea%20salt.%20Dessert%20perfection!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%2024%20bars%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrep%20Time:%2010%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20Time:%2030%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETotal%20Time:%2040%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees%20F.%20Grease%20a%209x13%20pan%20with%20nonstick%20cooking%20spray%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20flour,%20baking%20soda,%20sea%20salt,%20and%20cocoa.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20a%20mixer,%20cream%20butter%20and%20sugars%20together%20until%20smooth.%20Add%20in%20eggs,%20one%20at%20a%20time.%20Next,%20add%20in%20vanilla%20extract%20and%20mix%20until%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGradually%20add%20flour%20mixture%20and%20beat%20until%20just%20combined.%20Stir%20in%20the%20chocolate%20chunks.%20Divide%20the%20dough%20in%20half.%20Press%20half%20of%20the%20dough%20into%20the%20prepared%20pan.%20Spread%20the%20Nutella%20over%20the%20dough.%20Top%20the%20Nutella%20evenly%20with%20the%20remaining%20cookie%20dough.%20It%20is%20ok%20if%20some%20of%20the%20Nutella%20peaks%20out,%20but%20try%20to%20cover%20it%20as%20much%20as%20possible.%20Sprinkle%20the%20cookie%20bars%20with%20sea%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20cookies%20for%2030%20minutes,%20or%20until%20cookie%20bars%20are%20set%20around%20the%20edges,%20but%20still%20a%20little%20soft%20in%20the%20center.%20Don't%20overbake.%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20cool%20on%20a%20cooling%20rack.%20Cut%20into%20squares%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFollow%20twopeasandpod%20on%20Instagram%20and%20show%20us%20what%20recipes%20you%20are%20making%20from%20our%20blog!%20Use%20the%20hashtag%20%23twopeasandtheirpod!%20We%20want%20to%20see%20what%20you%20are%20making%20in%20your%20kitchen!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
