Receta Cinnamon Apples With Dumplings

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 6 Tbsp. sugar divided
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. Apple Juice or possibly Cider
- 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon Candies
- 2 1/2 c. Sliced Peeled Apples or possibly 20 ounce Apple slices, liquid removed
- 1/4 c. skim lowfat milk
Direcciones
- 1. Combine the 1/2 c. flour, 4 Tbsp. sugar, salt and baking pwdr.
- With pastry blender, cut in margarine till mix resembles coarse crumbs; set aside.
- 2. In 2-qt saucepan, combine the remaining 2 Tbsp. sugar and the 1 Tbsp. flour. Add in Apple Juice, stirring till smooth. Fold in cinnamon candies and Apples. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, till mix starts to boil.
- 3. Stir lowfat milk into flour-margarine mix, mixing till smooth. Drop dough 1/4 at a time over boiling Apples. Cover pan and cook over low heat about 10 min or possibly till dumplings are cooked. Cold slightly before serving with whipped topping or possibly cream, if you like.
- Yield: 4 servings.
- Suggested Michigan Apple varieties to use: Empire, Gala, Jonagold, Golden brown Delicious, Ida Red, Jonathan, McIntosh, or possibly Rome.
