Ingredientes
- 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup natural Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 cup unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/4 cup Pecans, chopped
- 1 TB Granulated Sugar

%20into%20a%20hole%20cut%20in%20your%20counter%20top.%20%20I%20consider%20one%20of%20these%20to%20be%20of%20the%20disposable%20nature,%20since%20it%20has%20strange%20dimensions.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20would%20have%20originally%20been%20butted%20up%20against%20the%20wall%20on%20the%20straight%20side%20(right).%20%20So%20this%20is%20the%20Counter%20Saver%20I%20have%20chosen%20for%20sacrifice,%20should%20the%20Corning%20Ware%20gods%20feel%20the%20need%20to%20punish%20me%20for%20misusing%20it.%20%20It%20should%20be%20noted%20that%20because%20this%20is%20an%20%22Installed%22%20(versus%20a%20%22Portable%22)%20Counter%20Saver,%20there%20are,%20nor%20were%20there%20ever,%20little%20rubber%20feet%20on%20the%20bottom.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20need%20to%20be%20completely%20removed%20from%20a%20Portable%20Counter%20Saver,%20before%20attempting%20oven%20usage.%20%20(unless%20you%20relish%20the%20smell%20of%20burning%20rubber)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOK,%20lets%20get%20this%20proverbial%20ball%20rolling%20with%20some%20cookie%20dough......%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERolo%20Cookies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(AKA:%20Turtle%20cookies)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E48-50%20Rolo%20Candies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst,%20you%20have%20to%20unwrap%20ALL%20those%20Rolos..%20Don't%20bother%20counting%20them%20out.%20%20If%20your%20anything%20like%20myself,%20you%20will%20just%20eat%20the%20extras%20anyway.%20%20So%20just%20go%20ahead%20and%20unwrap%20them%20all.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20the%20Flour,%20Cocoa,%20Salt%20and%20Baking%20Soda;%20then%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20bowl%20of%20your%20electric%20mixer,%20beat%20the%20butter,%20Brown%20Sugar%20and%20Granulated%20Sugar%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Euntil%20light%20and%20fluffy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20Eggs%201%20at%20a%20time,%20blending%20well%20after%20each%20addition.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20in%20the%20Vanilla%20extract.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20the%20mixer%20at%20low%20speed,%20gradually%20add%20the%20Flour%20mixture,%20beating%20until%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECover%20the%20dough%20with%20plastic%20wrap%20and%20chill%20for%20about%202%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20the%20chopped%20Pecans%20with%201%20TB%20granulated%20Sugar%20in%20a%20small%20bowl%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20chilling%20the%20dough,%20begin%20preheating%20the%20oven%20to%20375%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20cookie%20dough%20from%20the%20refrigerator%20and%20begin%20scooping%20out%20Tablespoons%20full%20of%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFlatten%20the%20dough,%20making%20a%20shallow%20%22pocket%22%20and%20insert%20a%20Rolo%20candy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGently%20wrap%20the%20edges%20of%20the%20dough%20around%20the%20Rolo,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20roll%20it%20between%20your%20palms%20to%20create%20a%20ball.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoll%20in%20the%20chopped%20Pecans%20before%20place%20the%20cookie%20balls%20on%20your%20Counter%20Saver.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpace%20the%20cookies%20about%202%20inches%20apart.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2010%20minutes,%20depending%20on%20your%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECool%20on%20the%20Counter%20Saver%20for%205%20minutes%20to%20allow%20the%20caramel%20to%20set%20a%20little%20before%20moving%20to%20a%20cooling%20rack%20to%20completely%20cool.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVoila....%20No%20breakage%20or%20anything.%20%20SO%20I%20now%20feel%20that%20it%20is%20safe%20to%20say%20that%20your%20Corning%20Ware%20Portable%20Counter%20Saver%20is%20safe%20to%20use%20in%20the%20oven....%20Proviso....%20%20for%20cookies%20and%20up%20to%20375%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20only%20issues%20I%20found%20are......%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20need%20to%20remove%20your%20cookies%20ON%20TIME%20(no%20fudging),%20because%20the%20residual%20heat%20in%20the%20counter%20saver%20will%20over%20bake%20your%20cookies%20if%20you%20leave%20them%20in%20the%20oven%20even%2030%20seconds%20too%20long.%20%20Which%20leads%20me%20to%20the%20second%20drawback....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Counter%20Saver%20stays%20way%20to%20hot%20for%20way%20to%20long%20after%20being%20removed%20from%20the%20oven.%20%20Thus,%20it%20cannot%20be%20reloaded%20with%20more%20cookies%20right%20away,%20one%20must%20wait%20until%20it%20has%20cooled%20enough.%20%2030%20minutes%20passed%20before%20it%20was%20cool%20enough%20to%20be%20used%20for%20the%20next%20batch%20of%20cookies.%20%20%20This%20recipe%20makes%204%20dozen.%20%20%20If%20I%20didn't%20have%20spare%20baking%20sheets%20and%20a%20Broil%20and%20Bake%20tray,%20it%20would%20have%20taken%20me%202%20hours%20to%20bake%20all%20the%20cookies.%20%20You%20need%20at%20least%202,%20possibly%203%20for%20any%20major%20cookie%20baking...%20BUT,%20if%20you%20are%20only%20baking%201%20dozen,%20it's%20perfect.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EProblem%20number%203%20is%20due%20to%20the%20nature%20of%20the%20Counter%20Saver%20itself...%20%20It's%20flat.%20%20VERY%20flat;%20as%20it%20should%20be,%20since%20it%20was%20originally%20designed%20for%20counter%20top%20usage.%20%20Thus,%20there%20is%20nothing%20to%20get%20a%20hold%20on%20with%20the%20pot%20holder,%20when%20trying%20to%20remove%20said%20Counter%20Saver,
