- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 8 ounces of Dove Promises Silky Smooth Dark Chocolate

.%20Aaron%E2%80%99s%20family%20is%20Jewish%20but%20that%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20mean%20he%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20like%20homemade%20holiday%20goodies%20and%20I%20did%20my%20best%20to%20make%20some%20with%20Hanukkah%20colors%20just%20for%20him.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20my%20friend%20Ansh%20comes%20to%20visit%20this%20week%20she%E2%80%99s%20bringing%20her%20young%20daughter%20who%20I%E2%80%99ve%20wanted%20to%20meet%20for%20some%20time.%20Ansh%20is%20Indian%20and%20makes%20the%20most%20amazing%20food%E2%80%A6albeit%20SPICY%20so%20I%20thought%20something%20about%20the%20orange%20conveyed%20a%20bit%20of%20heat%20(although%20they%20were%20actually%20my%20favorite%20%E2%80%93%20orange%20and%20chocolate%20M&M%E2%80%99s?%20YES!)%20but%20also%20a%20lot%20of%20sweet;%20just%20like%20Ansh.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99ll%20be%20honest.%20This%20is%20a%20sponsored%20post%20that%20I%20took%20on%20as%20a%20challenge%20for%20a%20couple%20of%20reasons.%20One%20because%20it%20included%20biscotti%20and%20I%20had%20never%20made%20them.%20Secondly%20because%20the%20requirement%20that%20we%20use%20Dove%20Chocolates%20to%20dip%20the%20biscotti%20in%20was%20good%20with%20me.%20Not%20only%20do%20I%20personally%20love%20them%20but%20my%20daughter%20mentioned%20to%20me%20that%20America%E2%80%99s%20Test%20Kitchen%20has%20recently%20chosen%20Dove%20Chocolates%20as%20some%20of%20the%20best.%20They%20were%20perfect%20to%20work%20with.%20I%20made%20something%20last%20week%20that%20required%20melted%20chocolate%20and%20twice%20it%20seized%20on%20me,%20the%20first%20time%20when%20trying%20to%20melt%20it%20in%20the%20microwave%20and%20again%20in%20a%202nd%20attempt%20using%20a%20double%20boiler.%20The%20Dove%20Chocolates%20melted%20easily%20in%20the%20microwave%20and%20even%20as%20the%20chocolate%20cooled%20a%20bit,%20was%20easily%20warmed%20and%20melted%20again.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20it%20turns%20out,%20we%20weren%E2%80%99t%20required%20to%20make%20our%20own%20biscotti%20for%20this%20post%20and%20I%20could%20have%20just%20purchased%20some%20from%20the%20store.%20Ahem%E2%80%A6how%20boring%20is%20that!!??%20I%20put%20a%20call%20out%20to%20some%20friends%20for%20recipes%20and%20a%20friend%20on%20Twitter,%20Sarah%20James%20provided%20me%20with%20a%20recipe%20that%20sounded%20perfect;%20a%20chocolate%20biscotti%20with%20cranberries%20and%20almonds.%20My%20plan%20was%20to%20dip%20the%20biscotti%20in%20more%20chocolate%20and%20them%20make%20them%20kid%20friendly%20by%20decorating%20them%20with%20M&M%E2%80%99s.%20I%20have%20to%20tell%20you%E2%80%A6M&M%E2%80%99s%20never%20seemed%20so%20huge%20until%20you%20are%20trying%20to%20use%20them%20to%20make%20a%20decoration%20on%20a%20biscotti!%20Next%20time?%20I%20need%20more%20landscape%20or%20much%20smaller%20M&M%E2%80%99s!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hope%20Aaron,%20Skylar%20and%20Ansh%E2%80%99%20daughter%20enjoys%20these%20holiday%20treats;%20I%20truly%20enjoyed%20making%20them!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECranberry%20Almond%20Chocolate%20Biscotti%20Dipped%20in%20Dove%20Chocolate%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECranberry-Almond%20Chocolate%20Biscotti%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreparation%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees%20and%20place%201%20rack%20in%20top%20third%20and%201%20rack%20in%20bottom%20third.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELIne%202%20rimmed%20baking%20sheets%20with%20parchment%20paper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESift%20together%20flour,%20sugar,%20cocoa%20powder,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20eggs%20and%20vanilla%20together%20in%20medium%20bowl.%20Beat%20egg%20mixture,then%20melted%20butter%20into%20dry%20mixture.%20Stir%20in%20cranberries%20and%20almonds.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20a%20lightly%20floured%20surface,%20pour%20out%20dough%20and%20cut%20into%20two%20equal%20pieces.%20Shape%20each%20into%208%20inch%20long%20log.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20on%20baking%20sheets,%20spacing%20well%20apart.%20Bake%20logs%20for%2012%20minutes.%20Reverse%20position%20of%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebaking%20sheets.%20bake%20logs%20until%20firm%20and%20dry%20to%20touch,%20about%2012%20more%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20oven.%20Let%20cool%20on%20sheets%20for%2010%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReduce%20the%20oven%20temperature%20to%20325%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20a%20knife,%20cut%20the%20logs%20into%201/2-inch%20thick%20slices.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20parchment%20paper%20from%20baking%20sheets.%20Return%20slices%20to%20baking%20sheets,%20cut%20side%20down.%20Bake%20biscotti%20until%20dry%20and%20slightly%20darker,%20about%2010%20minutes.%20Transfer%20to%20wire%20racks%20and%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20dark%20chocolate.%20Using%20a%20knife,%20paint%20half%20of%20the%20biscotti%20with%20the%20chocolate,%20decorate%20as%20desired%20with%20M&M's%20or%20glitter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.0%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehttp://www.creative-culinary.com/2012/12/cranberry-almond-chocolate-biscotti-with-dove-chocolate/%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20recipe%20brought%20to%20you%20by%20%C2%A9%20Creative%20Culinary%20%7C%20A%20Food%20and%20Cocktail%20Blog%20%7C%20Websit
