Ingredientes
- 1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- Halved maraschino cherries or candied cherries
Direcciones
- In a small bowl, cream the shortening, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla
- Combine the flour and salt
- Gradually add to the creamed mixture
- Mix well
- Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets
- Top each with a cherry half
- Bake at 350 F for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned
- Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks.
