Receta Crisp Pickle Slices Or Relish

Ingredientes
- 5 quarts. med. cucumbers, sliced
- 8 med. onions, sliced
- 2 red peppers
- 2 green peppers
- Canned pimentos (optional for coloring)
Direcciones
- Wash and slice cucumbers 1/4 inch thick. Add in onions, peppers and garlic. Stir in tray of ice cubes and 1/3 c. salt, and 1/4 tsp. alum between layers of cucumbers. Let stand 3 hrs. Drain.
- Make a syrup of other ingredients. Divide into two batches (to insure crispness). Add in cucumbers to the boiling syrup. Bring to boil. Put in warm jars and seal. This also makes a good relish. Ingredients must be minced or possibly grnd and liquid removed.
