Receta Drumstick leaves Dal Curry.

Moringa ela aka drumstick leaves is high in nutrition and available in abundance in Kerala. There is one tree in my backyard and I love to add them in my curries.

I like to use them in my dal curries and they taste perfect with rice or roti.

Ingredients:

Tur dal/Sambar dal: 3/4 cup.

Drumstick leaves: 1 cup.

Tomato: 1, chopped.

Garlic: 3 or 4 cloves, slit finely.

Red chilly powder: 1/2 tsp.

Dried red chilly: 1 or 2, broken.

Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp.

Asafoitida: A fat pinch.

Turmeric: A fat pich.

Onion: 1/2 chopped

Oil/ghee: 1 tbsp.

Salt to taste.

Put the cleaned and washed tur dal in a pressure cooker with salt, turmeric, garlic, tomato,…
