%20are%20THE%20menu.%20Since%20I've%20always%20believed%20dessert%20and%20cocktails%20are%20the%20most%20important%20part%20of%20my%20meals,%20I%20have%20to%20believe%20Red%20Light,%20a%20cocktail%20&%20dessert%20bar,%20was%20opened%20just%20for%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20were%20recently%20invited%20to%20try%20several%20of%20Red%20Light's%20cocktails%20and%20desserts.%20I%20arrived%20to%20Red%20Light%20directly%20after%20work,%20so%20yes,%20I%20had%20cocktails%20and%20dessert%20for%20dinner,%20and%20I%20would%20happily%20do%20so%20again.%20If%20you%20are%20more%20responsible%20than%20me,%20however,%20and%20like%20to%20eat%20real%20food%20for%20dinner,%20than%20you%20are%20welcome%20to%20dine%20at%20any%20of%2014th%20St's%20other%20restaurants.%20Just%20save%20room%20for%20dessert%20at%20Red%20Light!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIrish%20Goodbye%20Irish%20Whiskey,%20Absinthe,%20Rich%20Espresso,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERaw%20Sugar%20and%20Wilder%20Bros%20Irish%20Cream%20with%20Star%20Anise%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20sampled%20four%20of%20the%20fourteen%20cocktails%20at%20Red%20Light.%20The%20Irish%20Goodbye%20turns%20the%20Irish%20Car%20Bomb%20in%20to%20a%20long%20lasting%20drink.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20favorite%20of%20the%20four%20drinks%20was%20the%20Peepshow,%20made%20of%20Genever,%20Pimms,%20Cucumber,%20Darjeeling%20black%20tea%20and%20Wilder%20Bros%20ginger%20beer.%20Another%20guest%20at%20my%20table%20commented,%20%22This%20has%20to%20be%20healthy,%20right?%22%20It%20definitely%20looks%20and%20tastes%20like%20it%20could%20be%20sold%20in%20the%20line%20of%20a%20juice%20cleanse%20company.%20If%20only%20this%20drink%20could%20actually%20be%20sold%20in%20a%20to-go%20bottle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20between%20cocktails%20we%20were%20offered%20Meyer%20Lemon%20sorbet%20to%20cleanse%20our%20palette.%20Yes,%20I%20was%20given%20sugar%20to%20cleanse%20my%20palette.%20Red%20Light%20is%20really%20like%20an%20adult%20Candy%20Land%20brought%20to%20life.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlack%20&%20Tan%20Donuts%20pale%20ale%20beignets,%20stout-chocolate%20filling%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20for%20the%20desserts.%20My%20favorite%20drink%20easily%20stood%20out%20to%20me,%20but%20it%20was%20much%20harder%20for%20me%20to%20pick%20a%20standout%20dessert.%20Donuts%20like%20the%20Black%20&%20Tan%20Donuts%20make%20me%20realize%20that%20I%20don't%20need%20a%20fancily%20decorated%20donut,%20I%20just%20need%20simple%20well%20made%20donuts%20that%20are%20piping%20hot.%20A%20little%20beer%20added%20to%20the%20mixture%20doesn't%20hurt%20though.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMexican%20Chocolate%20Tart%20cajeta,%20house-made%20fluff,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecacao%20nib%20chantilly%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Mexican%20Chocolate%20Tart%20was%20the%20favorite%20dessert%20for%2099%25%20of%20the%20people%20at%20my%20table,%20as%20I%20was%20the%20only%20one%20who%20chose%20another%20dessert%20as%20my%20favorite.%20Even%20though%20I%20didn't%20also%20choose%20this%20dessert%20as%20my%20favorite,%20I%20can%20confirm%20it%20is%20a%20definite%20must-have%20dessert%20from%20Red%20Light's%20menu.%20The%20filling%20of%20the%20chocolate%20tart%20was%20what%20I%20want%20the%20chocolate%20frosting%20on%20my%20cupcakes%20and%20cakes%20to%20taste%20like,%20but%20I%20sadly%20accept%20the%20fact%20my%20chocolate%20frosting%20will%20never%20match%20the%20texture%20or%20flavors%20of%20the%20chocolate%20in%20this%20Mexican%20Tart.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20was%20my%20favorite%20dessert?%20The%20Goat's%20Cheese%20Custard.%20I%20will%20fully%20disclose%20that%20I%20will%20choose%20fruit%20flavors%20over%20chocolate%20flavors%20100%25%20of%20the%20time.%20I%20loved%20the%20dessert's%20lightness.%20I%20hate%20when%20I%20just%20can't%20make%20room%20for%20dessert%20after%20a%20satisfying%20dinner,%20but%20I%20could%20always%20make%20room%20for%20this%20dessert.%20Plus,%20even%20though%20I'm%20sure%20the%20dessert%20has%20just%20as%20much%20sugar%20as%20all%20the%20other%20desserts%20on%20the%20menu,%20I%20feel%20less%20guilty%20for%20eating%20it.%20Did%20you%20see%20the%20ingredients?%20It's%20made%20with%20quinoa,%20goat%20cheese,%20and%20pineapple!%20This%20could%20substitute%20dinner,%20right?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERed%20Light%20opens%20Monday-Friday%20at%204pm,%20and%20Saturday-Sunday%20at%2012%20pm.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
