.%20Another%20difference%20is%20in%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eshape,%20Focaccia%20is%20often%20shaped%20into%20a%20square,%20oval%20or%20rectangle%20shape.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESometimes%20the%20toppings%20used%20are%20added%20into%20the%20Focaccia%20dough%20instead%20of%20being%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Etopped.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyways%20whatever%20the%20differences%20are,%20all%20I%20can%20say%20is%20that%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eit%E2%80%99s%20a%20soft%20spongy%20bread%20with%20a%20lovely%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecrust%20on%20top,%20perfect%20for%20dunking%20into%20soups%20or%20stews.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESeveral%20of%20my%20blog%20buddies%20have%20been%20baking%20this%20particular%20Focaccia%20recipe%20shared%20by%20Aparna%20and%20all%20their%20pics%20tempted%20me%20so%20much%20that%20I%20just%20had%20to%20try%20it%20out.%20The%20actual%20recipe%20was%20for%20a%20Focaccia%20Caprese%20(Focaccia%20topped%20with%20Caprese%20toppings%20along%20with%20Herbed%20oil)%20but%20fortunately/unfortunately%20for%20me%20I%20had%20none%20of%20the%20Caprese%20toppings%20available%20on%20hand...not%20even%20tomatoes,%20so%20I%20decided%20to%20just%20bake%20the%20Focaccia%20with%20the%20Herbed%20oil%20on%20top%20and%20it%20did%20not%20disappoint%20at%20all.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20where%20do%20I%20begin%20raving%20about%20this%20Focaccia.%20The%20dough%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewas%20so%20simple%20to%20make%20and%20it%20rose%20beautifully.%20The%20herb%20oil%20gets%20wonderfully%20absorbed%20by%20the%20bread%20while%20baking%20which%20creates%20a%20nice%20crunchy%20flavorful%20crust%20and%20the%20aroma%20and%20flavor%20seeps%20into%20the%20bread%20as%20well%20and%20finally%20yields%20a%20soft%20and%20spongy%20bread.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Herb%20Oil%20is%20simply%20superb%20made%20using%20staple%20pantry%20ingredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20after%20brushing%20the%20Focaccia%20dough%20with%20the%20Herb%20Oil,%20you%20can%20later%20dunk%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eyour%20baked%20Focaccia%20into%20the%20same%20oil%20(if%20any%20leftover)%20and%20enjoy%20the%20bread,%20its%20just%20that%20good!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%E2%80%99ll%20Need%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EActive%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20cup%20warm%20water.%20Add%20water%20as%20needed%20to%20form%20a%20smooth%20yet%20mildly%20sticky%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShape%20the%20dough%20into%20a%20ball%20and%20add%20it%20to%20a%20well%20oiled%20bowl%20and%20turn%20the%20dough%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Earound%20to%20coat%20all%20over%20and%20let%20it%20sit%20covered%20for%20about%201%20hour%20until%20it%20doubles%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ein%20volume.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20the%20dough%20has%20risen,%20punch%20it%20down%20slowly%20and%20you%20can%20either%20bake%20it%20into%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20single%20focaccia%20covering%20your%20entire%20pan%20or%202%20medium%20sized%20Focaccia%20or%204%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esmaller%20focaccias.%20(I%20divided%20the%20dough%20into%20two%20equal%20parts%20and%20used%20just%201%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Epart%20and%20froze%20the%20rest%20for%20later%20use)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20a%2011x17%20rectangular%20sheet%20pan%20and%20place%20wax%20paper%20%20or%20silicon%20mat%20on%20it.%20Place%20your%20dough%20on%20it%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20roll%20it%20out%20smoothly%20into%20a%20rectangular%20shape%20%20(I%20dint%20measure%20the%20dimensions%20of%20my%20focaccia,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebut%20a%20thick%20and%20roughly%20rectangular%20shape%20is%20good).%20%20Let%20the%20dough%20rest%20again%20for%2020%20mins%20.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7.%20Oil%20your%20fingertips%20and%20create%20dimples%20in%20the%20dough.%20Brush%20the%20herbed%20oil%20all%20over%20generously.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20it%20into%20the%20450F%20pre-heated%20oven%20and%20bake%20for%2016-18mins%20until%20it%20is%20almost%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edone%20and%20turning%20golden%20brown.%20I%20rotated%20the%20tray%20after%2010mins,%20again%20brushed%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20herb%20oil%20all%20over%20and%20baked%20for%20another%206%20mins%20(so%20mine%20was%20done%20in%2016mins)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E9.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20the%20focaccia%20cool%20for%20few%20minutes%20,%20then%20serve%20warm%20and%20enjoy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20If%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eusing%20Active%20Instant%20yeast,%20you%20need%20not%20proof%20it%20separately,%20just%20add%20it%20along%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewith%20the%20flour%20and%20other%20ingredients%20for%20the%20dough%20with%201%20tblsp%20sugar%20and%20make%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20dough%20as%20usual.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EActual%20recipe%20states%20to%20bake%20for%2018-20%20mins,%20but%20mine%20was%20good%20and%20golden%20brown%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eafter%2016mins%20so%20keep%20checking%20towards%20the%20last%20few%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20aroma,%20texture,%20taste%20everything%20about%20this%20focaccia%20was%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esuper-duper%20and%20both%20Manish%20and%20my%20lil%E2%80%99guy%20munched%20on%20them%20as%20soon%20as%20it%20was%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eout%20of%20the%20oven.%20Even%20the%20mild%20spice%20from%20the%20red%20chilli%20flakes%20in%20the%20herbed%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eoil%20din%E2%80%99t%20bother%20my%20lil%E2%80%99one.%20I%20quickly
