Receta Ginger Chicken Soup Gai Jau

Ingredientes
- 1 lb boneless, skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. fresh Ginger, grated Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Brown Sugar, firmly packed
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 c. fresh Mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 c. Dry Dates, sliced and pitted
- 1/3 c. Scallions or possibly Green Onions, sliced with the green stems
- 4 pt Chicken Broth
- 3 Tbsp. Whiskey or possibly Rum
Direcciones
- Rub the diced chicken with the fresh ginger, salt, and brown sugar. Let the poultry marinate for 24 hrs.
- Hot the oil in a soup pot over medium-high heat, and saute/fry the marinated chicken, mushrooms, dates, and scallions. Add in the chicken broth to the pot and bring the mix to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 20 min.
- Add in the whiskey or possibly rum to the concoction. Adjust the salt and pepper, and serve hot.
