Receta Glazed Strawberry Whipped Cream Pie

Ingredientes
- 1 quart. strawberries
- 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. granulated sugar
Direcciones
- After washing strawberries, select 3 c. of the nicer berries. Add in 1/2 c. confectioners sugar. Let stand 1 hour to sweeten.
- Crush remaining berries (1 c.) and cook with 1 c. of water. Cook abut 2 min. Sieve. Then mix 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch and 1/2 to 3/4 c. granulated sugar. Stir this mix into the berry juice and cook till clear and thick. (Keep stirring constantly). Add in a little red food coloring.
- Bake pie shell and when cold fill it with the fresh sweetened berries and pour the warm sauce over it. Cold. Cover with whipped cream.
