  1. Cream butter and shortening and sugar till fluffy. Add in vanilla, flour and lowfat milk (slowly). Beat at high speed till fluffy. Takes at least 10 min of beating to get fluffy. You can add in food coloring to make any color you like. Icing keeps well. You can ice a cake the day ahead. Will ice two 8 inch or possibly 9 inch pans, 9 x 13 inch pan, Bundt, tube pan or possibly 24 c. cakes.
