.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeantime,%20we%20had%20a%20pork%20loin%20that%20was%20from%20OUR%20pig.%20These%20guests%20were%20in%20for%20a%20treat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYes,%20the%20recipe%20was%20also%20from%20the%20P%20man.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20the%20table%20was%20set%20and%20everything%20was%20under%20control.%20Well,%20as%20under%20control%20as%20I%20ever%20get.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20served%20up%20some%20charcuterie%20because%20we%20could.%20Shut%20up,%20I%20know%20it%20isn't%20Cajun%20but%20if%20I%20don't%20serve%20it%20to%20everyone%20I%20will%20never%20be%20able%20to%20use%20it%20all%20in%20my%20lifetime.%20Not%20only%20that%20but%20French....Cajun...%20there%20is%20a%20connection.%20Not%20only%20that%20but%20our%20posse%20loved%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20hurricanes%20were%20flowing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPork%20loin%20out%20of%20the%20oven%20and%20ready.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJambalya%20all%20ready%20to%20go.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh%20oh%20wait.%20I%20also%20made%20a%20Cajun%20Green%20Bean%20and%20Artichoke%20recipe%20(which%20was%20MY%20favorite%20thing%20of%20all)%20but%20it%20wasn't%20from%20%22THE%20book%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20ya%20have%20it!%20A%20Cajun%20dinner%20less%20a%20mullet%20and%20padded%20shoulders.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20buddy%20Matt%20likes%20being%20in%20my%20blog%20post.%20%22Hey%20goober%20here%20is%20your%20hand%20shot%22.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20but%20not%20least%20was%20dessert.%20Dr.%20Food%20made%20an%20unbelievable%20Bread%20Pudding%20that%20he%20learned%20how%20to%20make%20in%20New%20Orleans%20at%20a%20cooking%20class.%20I%20saw%20a%20picture%20of%20Dr.%20Food%20with%20a%20mullet%20too%20so%20it%20really%20was%20an%2080's%20thing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell,%20yeah,%20we%20ate%20it%20before%20I%20got%20a%20picture.%20You%20know%20that%20means%20we%20were%20having%20a%20good%20time%20drinking%20copious%20amounts%20of%20wine%20and%20stuff.%20You%20know%20this%20means%20although%20it%20makes%20for%20a%20crappy%20blog%20post%20about%20the%20dessert%20it%20made%20a%20hell%20of%20a%20time%20in%20real%20time.%20I%20guess%20I%20am%20a%20bad%20blogger%20but%20a%20good%20liver.%20You%20know%20what%20I%20mean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk,%20now%20I%20need%20to%20wash%20my%20hair%20and%20forget%20all%20things%20mullet.%20Next%20thing%20you%20know%20I%20will%20be%20digging%20out%20my%20padded%20shoulder%20jackets.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGreen%20Bean%20and%20Artichoke%20Casserole%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChuck%20Taggert%20The%20Gumbo%20Pages%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20lbs%20fresh%20green%20beans%20or%20French%20haritots%20verts;%20OR%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can%20get%20away%20with%20frozen%20ones,%20I%20suppose.%20NOT%20canned.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%209-oz.%20package%20frozen%20artichoke%20hearts.%20Do%20not%20use%20canned.%20I'll%20know.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you're%20using%20fresh%20green%20beans%20and%20you%20don't%20mind%20the%20extra%20labor,%20split%20them%20lengthwise%20(or%20use%20French-style%20if%20frozen).%20Cook%20the%20green%20beans%20in%20boiling%20salted%20water%20or%20steam%20until%20just%20tender.%20Medium-dice%20the%20artichoke%20hearts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESaute%20the%20onions%20and%20garlic%20in%20the%20olive%20oil.%20In%20a%20large%20bowl,%20mix%20the%20beans,%20bread%20crumbs,%20cheese,%20hearts,%20and%20the%20oil%20with%20the%20onions%20and%20garlic.%20Season%20liberally%20with%20black%20pepper;%20salt%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%20the%20mixture%20into%20a%209%22x14%22%20baking%20dish,%20and%20sprinkle%20the%20top%20with%20additional%20bread%20crumbs%20and%20cheese.%20Bake%20at%20350%20for%2020%20-%2030%20minutes.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
