Receta Hatteras Corn Bread

Ingredientes
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. white corn meal
- 3/4 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 5 c. boiling water
- 1 (13 ounce.) can evaporated lowfat milk
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3 Large eggs
Direcciones
- Grease 8x8 baking dish and put in cool oven. Preheat oven to 400 degrees with greased pan inside. In a large bowl combine cornmeal, flour, salt, and sugar. Pour in boiling water and mix well. Add in evaporated lowfat milk, baking pwdr, and Large eggs, one at a time, mixing with wire whisk. Mix well till free of lumps. Remove pan from oven and pour in mix. It will sizzle and oil will rise to top. Bake 55 to 60 min. Bread will be crunchy on top and soft inside. Cold 5 min.
