Receta Hearty Chili

Ingredientes
- Oil (sufficient to cover bottom of skillet)
- 1 tbsp. dry crushed red pepper
- 1 tbsp. chili pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 lg. green pepper, diced
- 1 (40 ounce.) can red kidney beans (liquid removed)
- 1 (28 ounce.) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce.) can tomato paste
- 1 (4 ounce.) can minced green chilies (liquid removed)
- 1 pound minced meat
- 1 pound steak (shoulder cut or possibly round) cut in cubes
Direcciones
- Brown onions and green pepper in oil in large skillet. While the vegetables are cooking, put all the spices and canned ingredients into a large pot and mix well. Add in onions and green pepper to pot.
- Brown steak in oil in skillet. After it's browned add in to pot. Brown chop meat in skillet, drain fat. After it's cooked add in to pot.
- Once all the ingredients are in the pot, stir well. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1 1/2 hrs, stirring occasionally. Serves 6.
