Receta Heirloom Tomato Salad With Blue Cheese

Ingredientes
- 8 slc crusty bread, 1/2" thick
- 4 lrg garlic cloves halved
- 3 Tbsp. extra-virgin extra virgin olive oil plus
- 1/3 c. extra-virgin extra virgin olive oil
- 1 c. currant or possibly grape tomatoes (or possibly halved cherry or possibly pear tomatoes)
- 1/2 c. minced green onions
- 10 med heirloom tomatoes of assorted colors cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 sm red onion sliced paper-thin
- 3 x celery stalks sliced thin on the diagonal
- 1 1/2 c. coarsely-crumbled blue cheese

- Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Rub bread with cut garlic halves; brush bread with 3 Tbsp. oil. Combine remaining 1/3 c. oil, currant tomatoes, and green onions in medium bowl; toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Overlap tomato slices in concentric circles on platter, alternating colors. Scatter onion and celery slices over tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spoon tomato and green onion mix over. Sprinkle with crumbled cheese.
- Grill bread till golden brown, about 2 min per side. Cut each slice diagonally in half; serve with salad.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
