Receta Homemade Tomato Soup

Ingredientes
- 6 med. fresh tomatoes
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 thinly sliced med. onions
- 1 (6 ounce.) tomato paste
- 2 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 3 c. chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Pepper
- Sugar
Direcciones
- Peel tomatoes and cut into quarters; set aside. Heat butter and oil till melted. Add in onions and cook till tender. Stir in tomatoes, paste, basil and thyme. Mash tomatoes slightly. Stir in broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 min. Press through a food mill. Strain and return to saucepan. Stir in salt and pepper. Sugar to taste.
