My niece is allergic to dairy. When she was born, she was horribly colic and had terrible baby acne and my sister just didn't know what to do. I practically begged her to take her off of dairy formula and when she finally did, Maggie immediately got better. I was so excited, my sister not so much. She doesn't want Maggie to suffer because of a food allergy, and dairy is in EVERYTHING. I understand where she's coming from but being an allergenista myself, I'm like, Hey this is no sweat! The doctors said she might grow out of it, give it some time and re-introduce the dairy. Fast forward 6 months...

.%20She%20checked%20the%20website%20of%20the%20baby%20cookies%20and%20sure%20enough,%20there%20is%20milk%20in%20them.%20The%20pediatrician%20says%20she%20still%20may%20grow%20out%20of%20it%20and%20try%20again%20in%206%20months.%20She%20asked%20me%20if%20I%20thought%20it%20was%20ok%20to%20try%20her%20on%20yogurt%20in%20like%20a%20month.%20I%20was%20like%20NO!!!%20How%20are%20you%20going%20to%20ask%20your%20dairy%20allergic%20sister%20if%20she%20thinks%20it's%20ok%20to%20give%20a%20dairy%20allergic%20baby%20some%20yogurt??%20Silly%20girl.%20I%20know%20that%20she's%20just%20thinking%20into%20the%20future%20of%20all%20the%20foods%20that%20have%20milk%20that%20Maggie%20won't%20be%20able%20to%20have%20and%20is%20feeling%20that%20pain%20that%20we%20all%20feel%20when%20we%20find%20out%20that%20we%20can't%20have%20mac%20&%20cheese%20anymore.%20I%20get%20it.%20It%20would%20be%20great%20if%20Maggie%20grows%20out%20of%20this,%20but%20I'm%20guessing%20that%20she%20won't.%20She%20has%20a%20pretty%20obvious%20and%20immediate%20reaction%20to%20it%20which%20is%20just%20as%20bad%20now%20as%20it%20was%20when%20she%20was%20born.%20Thankfully%20she%20has%20me%20to%20help%20her%20find%20great%20alternatives%20for%20her!%20If%20she%20didn't%20understand%20what%20I%20go%20through%20before,%20she%20certainly%20will%20now.%20She's%20being%20really%20stubborn%20about%20it%20though%20which%20is%20surprising%20to%20me,%20I%20think%20she's%20still%20really%20in%20that%20old%20school%20mindset%20that%20dairy%20is%20essential%20for%20optimum%20health%20which%20we%20all%20here%20know%20that%20is%20not%20the%20case!%20She'll%20be%20just%20fine.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
