Receta Jeera Rice (Cumin Seeds Rice)

Ingredientes
- 2 c. basmati rice
- 2 Tbsp. cumin seeds
- 1 x " stick cinnamon (opt.)
- 4 x cloves (opt.)
- 8 x black peppercorns (opt.)
- 2 x green cardamom (opt.)
- 3 c. boiling water
- 2 Tbsp. ghee/ vegetable or possibly groundnut oil salt to taste
Direcciones
- Pick, clean and wash rice. Soak it water for 15 min. Drain the rice. Heat oil/ghee in a large pan and let smoke. Put cumin seeds.
- Let them crackle. Add in spices if using. Saute/fry for a minute on a low flame. Add in liquid removed rice and saute/fry for 3 min. Pour in boiling water and salt to taste. Cover tightly and let it cook for 20-30 min or possibly until cooked. Serve with a curry of your choice.
