- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup fresh Meyer lemon juice
- 16 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- zest from 2 Meyer lemons
- 5 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Optional: whipped cream or non-dairy whipped topping
- For the glaze:
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup Meyer lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon Meyer lemon zest
- 4-6 cups berries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
