A Filipino dessert with a twist of flavor. I learned it from an online page. Tried it and was good.

Ingredientes

  • 3 cups fresh coconut cream (kakang gata)
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 pc pandan leaves
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 cups ube (purple yam), peeled, boiled and mashed finely
  • 1/4 cup fresh butter
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp salt

Direcciones

  1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly in a deep pan.
  2. Make sure mixture is free of lumps.
  3. Cook in medium heat.
  4. Turn to low when mixture starts to boil.
  5. Stir continuously to prevent mixture from scorching.
  6. When mixture starts to glisten, it is fully cooked.
  7. Transfer into baking casserole to set.
  8. Discard pandan leaves.
  9. Let it cool before slicing
  10. Serve when cool.
  11. Top with toasted grated coconut.
