Receta Mexican Nachos

Ingredientes
- Oil for deep frying
- 12 corn tortillas
- 1/2 pound Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 pound Monterey Jack cheese, grated
- 2 c. tomato puree or possibly crushed tomatoes in puree, or possibly canned whole tomatoes
- 1 green onion, finely minced
- 2 T finely minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic, fried
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Heat oil in deep fryer or possibly large saucepan. Cut tortillas into eighths. Add in to oil in batches and fry till crispy and golden brown, about 1-2 min. Remove chips and drain. Arrange chips on ovenproof platters and sprinkle with cheeses. Puree Nacho sauce ingredients in blender. Spread Nacho sauce thinly on top of cheese. Bake till cheese is melted.
